NARRATIVE REPORT

Earthquake is one of the famous disasters that caused people died or injured. It cannot be
detected when and where would be happen. This is mostly happened in a place where people are
hanging around and walking. Earthquake is understood by being a natural phenomenon caused by
constant movement of the Earth’s crustal plate and due to climate change too.
Connectively, Gayong-Gayong Sur Integarted School conducted the 4th Quarter National
Simultaneous Eartquake Drill on November 14, 2019 at exactly 9 o’clock am. Pursuant to the Division
Memorandum.

The drill starts with the ceremonial tapping of the bell where the pupils and students from
Kinder to Senior High School With their teachers followed strictly the three important thing during an
earthquake. These where the ducking, covering, and holding. Also watching out for the falling objects
and keeping calm and avoiding panic.
The drill participants were 393 pupils and students and 16 teaching and non-teaching staff. The
drill lasted for 10 minutes. No untoward incidents happened during the drill.

Finally, it was indeed a success. Preparedness and mitigation are key startegies in reducing
disasters.
