1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill ( NSED )
February 21, 2019 2:00 P.M.

1.1 Introduction

1.1 Background/ Rationale

The Department of Education (DepEd) with partner agencies, the Department of National
Defense (DND), members of the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council
(NDRRMC), all public and private schools and DepEd offices and attached agencies are enjoined
to undertake the Quarterly Conduct of the national School-Based Earthquake and Fire Drills.

1.2 Objective/s of the Activity

a. The activity aims to generate the highest level of awareness among the public on Disaster
Risk Reduction concerns and assess the capacity level of the school and the community in the
eventually of disaster and emergencies.

1.3 Description of the Activity

The School Head, DRRM Coordinator as well as the DRRM Team leader conducted. The
national Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on February 21, 2019 at 2:00 P.M.
