Accomplishment Report

I. Rationale/Description:

Strengthening disaster prevention, mitigation, and preparedness is one of the key

strategies to address the vulnerabilities of children inside and outside the school. With
the increasing effect of the climate change, it is important to raise the awareness and
capacities of children to prepare for and manage possible disaster and/or emergencies.
This is also intended to influence family preparedness as the learners could share and
apply their lesson at home.
Some natural disasters can be predicted, giving schools enough warning to
evacuate or take other safety precautions, but others can happen unexpectedly or go
through rapid changes that suddenly put a school in danger.

II. Objectives/Targets:

 to protect learners and education workers from death, injury and harm in
school.
 to determine the immediate needs and the resources that will meet the needs
in the event of earthquake.
 to plan for educational continuity in the face of expected hazards and threats.
 to strengthen risk reduction and resilience through education.

III. Measures/Activities:

 Conduct of Survey/Questionnaire
 Procurement of at least 30 bags of first aid kit.
 Conduct of basic first aid in school/CPR drill.
 Conduct of Home Learning Activities like Family Earthquake drill, etc.
