2019 was a year that our union rose and faced many challenges including anti-union
executive orders, and government shutdowns. With the Presidential election around the
corner in 2020 it is vitally important that we all make sure that our political leaders hear the
voices of federal employees at the 2020 AFGE Legislative Conference from February 9 – 12 in
Washington D.C.

Please join me and other AFGE members from the 7th District (Illinois, Michigan,
Wisconsin) for breakfast with our Senators and Representatives, during the 2020 AFGE
Legislative Conference on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.

Take advantage of this opportunity to ask your Representatives important questions and
get first hand answers about the issues facing federal employees including the Trump Executive
Orders, hiring freezes, pay, erosion of job protections, less generous pensions, elimination of
official time and dues deductions, and more.

 Contact your Congressional Representative ASAP and ask them to attend

the legislative breakfast, and schedule other appointments. Congressional
Representatives respond best to their constituents.

 Make your hotel reservations AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, rooms are filling up

fast. The Conference will be at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill, 400 New
Jersey Ave NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.

 Finalize your transportation plans.

 Notify the District Office who will attend the conference.

 Send completed breakfast registration form to District Office.
