 1. Introduction

DELHI INSTITUTE OF PARAMEDICAL SCIENCE (DIPS)

DIPS is a young and vibrant organization promoting “Skill India” programme

and dedicated to the Nation and Society at large in order to 'empower people'
and 'enlighten lives' of socially and economically marginalized. We interact
with community, local stakeholders and mobilize the unskilled and
unemployed youth (urban &rural) in the age group of 18-40 years. They are
provided with proper skill training in various disciplines (paramedical,
nursing, management, engineering, industrial training, computer and other
vocational trades) and groomed to employable level. Based on their skills
suitable placement is arranged for them against the existing entry level
opportunities in various hopitals, formal industries preferably in the vicinity
of region in order to generate livelihood. A Group of dedicated professionals
with more than 2 decades of experience are inclined to take the organization
forward and meet the objectives.

The global population is increasing day by day but the number of

paramedical & nursing staff, technical, management and various allied
health care trained worker relatively low. Due to high demand nursing and
paramedical staff are migrating abroad and India is facing acute shortage of
trained and qualified nursing staff, faculty, paramedics &clinical
practitioner.

2. DIPS tie-up with Nursing and paramedical colleges:

In order to meet the above mentioned demands, Delhi Institute of

Paramedical Science tie-up and provides admission guidance, career
counseling& coaching, education consultancy services, training of various
nursing and paramedical courses. All these paramedical courses are
approved by different Government and private universities of India, MCI
(Medical Council of India),INC(Indian Nursing Council), State Nursing
Council, PCI (Pharmacy Council of India), PMKVY and skill India
programme.

DIPS have networking with various nursing and paramedical colleges and
universities to trains, mentor and develop health professionals to provide
quality health care services at the grass roots and to meet the global
demand.

3. Course offer:

As per demand of trained staff for the health care sector, DIPS offers
following one year diploma courses for youth and community workers.
Educational qualification should differ from course to course (preferably 12th
pass). Duration of post graduate diploma courses will be 2 years (minimum

DIPS have network and tie-up with the good hospitals, Nursing Homes,
Labs, Physiotherapy centres and nursing bureau /home care centres for
practical exposure, internship and placement of our students.

DIPS runs paramedical, nursing and management courses from 2014 and
trained 750 students. DIPS have trained a group of 23 staff /volunteer
registered in various paramedical courses from basti Hazrat Nizamuddin. All
these students where supported by Aga Khan Foundation and completed
their classes, internship and some of them are placed in the hospitals and
some are ready to place in hospitals /nursing homes and home care.

5. Placement and handholding:

On successful completion of the training, trainees will attend the internship

and prepare for job. The pre-placement sessions will orient the paramedical
trainees for interviews. Each trainee will attend two pre-placement sessions
during the training /internship period.

Before completion of the internship, 100% job assistance and offers will be
provided to each of the trainees. Each trainee will be tracked (monthly) for a
period of at least 6 months. Periodic contacts will be made with the
candidates who left their job and further efforts to place them will be made.
