Diploma in CSSD Technician (Central Sterile Supply Department Technician) is generic in nature and has a
component of additional learning of one area leading to an elective in that area.
• Checking and documenting the vital parameters such as non-invasive blood pressure, body temperature,
body weight, oxygen saturation of blood (SPO2), breathing rate, ECG etc. as appropriate, of the patient
before starting the dialysis
• Able to apply, analyse, and evaluate the information gathered from the patients chart as well as by
measuring the vitals, as a guide to thought and action prior to initiating dialysis
• Able to check the document and report such as blood pressure and body temperature etc & Knowledge of
the most recommended values of blood parameters and other vitals with reference to the functioning of
kidneys
• To able to setting up the dialysis machine and assembling the extra corporeal circuit and understand the
purpose of dialysis is to remove waste from the blood of patients suffering from chronic or acute renal
failure.
• Able to correctly draping and positioning the patient for starting dialysis and to understand the purpose of
proper draping and positioning is to facilitate connecting the patient to the dialysis unit, at the same time
ensuring adequate patient comfort and privacy
Operation Theatre
Technician
Eligibility: 10+2

OPERATION THEATRE TECHNICIAN (OTT)
Able to perform duties such as to set-up and positioning of theatre equipment for a variety of surgical
procedures
• Assisting in preparation and maintenance of the operating suite environment as a pre-operative
function and able to use basic knowledge of surgical procedures to assist and identify the needs of
operating teams
• Assemble equipment and check to ensure that it is complete, clean and correctly functioning &
maintaining a safe working area at all times and use correct manual handling techniques
• Transport blood, pathology specimens and other items necessary using standard precautions, to
support the theatre team & remove, clean and store equipment correctly at conclusion of procedure
• To assist the patient in moving from the bed to the stretcher/wheelchair or vice versa by using correct
body mechanic & to ensure that work is completed systematically with attention to detail , without
damage to equipment or injury to oneself or others
Diploma in Medical
Lab Technician

Eligibility: 10+2 (PCB)

Duration: 1 Year
DMLT ( DIPLOMA IN MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN)
Able to collect, transport, receive, accept or reject, store blood/ urine/stool, tissue samples & also to
Identify characteristics of major blood group systems, detect and identify antibodies.
To understand how samples of body fluids/ samples are collected and analysed & Identify information
by categorising, estimating, recognising differences or similarities, and detecting changes in
components of body fluids/ samples.
• Transport blood, pathology specimens and other items necessary using standard precautions, to
support the team & remove, clean and store equipment correctly at conclusion of procedure.
• Able to Prepare and document medical tests and clinical results and also documenting and entering
all test-related data into an electronic storage system.
• Able to set up, calibrate, operate, clean and maintain equipment used in quantitative or qualitative
analysis, such as spectrophotometers, calorimeters
Assistant Nursing

ASSISTANT NURSING
• Nursing assistants help patients with activities of daily living like eating and bathing. Nursing
assistants, sometimes called nursing aides, provide basic care and help patients with activities of daily
living. Orderlies transport patients and clean treatment areas
• Assist residents with performing basic tasks such as eating, dressing and toileting when necessary
• Respond immediately to calls from patients for assistance or treatment and alert medical staff to
pending emergency situations
• Encourage all residents to get exercise and participate in scheduled activities
• Engage in housekeeping tasks such as replacing linens on beds, cleaning patient rooms and removing
and replacing trash bags
• Work with dining room personnel to ensure that all residents get the correct meals and that all
residents are able to eat

Can I Apply for State or Central Govt. Jobs?
You would appreciate the fact that the government job openings have
their own minimum eligibility criteria which may differ from one job to
another. Students meeting those requirements will be able to apply for
central/state government jobs.

Yes, NSDC has provided Up skilling facilities for all those students who are
already working somewhere, students are requested to attend full day
