Hospital Database Management System
Project Description:

A Hospital Database Management System (HDMS) is a computer or web-based

system that facilitates managing the functioning of a hospital or any medical setup. It
helps in making the whole functioning paperless and enables easy and fast access to
stored data as needed by different users with security against unauthorized access.

The HDMS includes all the necessary patient data such as disease history, test results,
prescribed treatment, etc. The system helps doctors to access this information without
much delay in order to make an accurate diagnosis and monitor the patient’s health.

According to a project report on a Hospital Database Management System, the system

includes registration of patients, storing their disease details into the system, doctor’s
information, and digitalizing the whole billing system. It has the facility to give a
unique ID for every patient and stores the details of every patient and staff
automatically. It includes a search facility to know the current status of each room.
The administrator conducts the whole process.

Objective of the Project:

The objectives of a Hospital Database Management System (HDMS) project are to:

 Design a system for better patient care.

 Reduce hospital operating costs.
 Provide MIS (Management Information System) report on demand to
management for better decision making.

To find the error on the code and query and debugging the process is the most difficult
problem of the project work. Besides, to implement the design and manage all the data
is also a little bit problem of the project work. Network issue is also included.
