Preparations
There are a couple things to do before starting installation process, please these follow the
guide step by step

1. Oneplus 6 Driver
Before start to unlock bootloader and install custom recovery. Please
download driver here and install it on PC.
2. ADB and Fastboot
adb and fastboot is the tools to unlock bootloader and install custom recovery.
Download here and extract it on PC.
3. TWRP recovery
TWRP is the custom recovery that use to install Azenqos firmware and root.
Download here
4. Azenqos kernel
This is the custom kernel to make Azenqos applications able to work on the
phone. Download the right kernel file for devices model and software version
here and copy to the phone.
5. Magisk
Magisk is the root application, Download Magisk here then copy to the phone

6. Oxygen OS
Azenqos kernel only support the devices with Oxygen OS version 5.1.8 and
5.1.11 only. Open Settings application and go to “About phone” to check the
version. see the official rom installation guide from Oneplus

WARNING: Install Azenqos kernel on different version with Oxygen OS might
be cause to phone boot loop

Unlock bootloader
Mostly new android phone bootloader is locked, follow the instruction below step by step to
unlock it before start installations process

1. Enable OEM unlocking : Open Settings → About phone → touch on Build Number
7 times or until the prompt say “You are now developer” → go back to Settings →
Developer options → enable OEM unlocking → enable Advanced reboot

2. Unlocking bootloader :

 ● Hold power botton (long press) → Reboot → Bootloader → Touch to reboot
and connect the phone to PC

● On PC, open command prompt and use the command below to change
directory to adb and fastboot folder (e.g. if adb is in C:\User\adb folder)
cd “C:\User\adb”
● Then use command below to unlock bootloader (All data will be erase)
fastboot oem unlock

there will be ask yes/no on the phone, use volume button to select yes then
use power button to ok, the phone will factory reset and boot to system
automatically

(After finished unlockbootloader Developer options has been disappeared please open it again)

Installations
1. Install TWRP
● Hold power botton (long press) → Reboot → Bootloader → Touch to reboot
and connect the phone to PC
● Open command prompt on PC and cd to adb folder
● Use the following command to install TWRP
fastboot boot <path\to\twrp.img>
change <path\to\twrp.img> to full locations of twrp.img (e.g.
C:\User\adb\twrp.img)
● The phone will boot to TWRP mode and ready to install Azenqos kernel and
magisk

2. Install Azenqos kernel and root (Magisk)

● After the phone boot to TWRP, swipe to allow system modifications
● On the main twrp screen, select Install and find Azenqos kernel file and select
it then swipe to install
● After installation done, go back to main screen and select Install again then
chose Magisk file then swipe to install
● When installation finished, select reboot to system

3. Install Busybox and Azenqos application

 ● When the first start applications, there will be popup that ask to access super
user permission, select grant to allow (both Busybox and Azenqos)

● Open Magisk Manager , tap a hamburger menu and select Downloads

(Make sure for internet connection is active)

● In Downloads page , tap a search button type “busybox” and will be show
“Busybox for Android NDK” tap a download button

● wait installing process until show - All done! tap REBOOT to reboot a phone

● go to www.azenqos.com/beta and download AzenqosMobile apk

● Install AzenqosMobile apk on the phone
● When installation complete, open Azenqos application and activate license
● Done, Azenqos is ready to use
● Reboot the phone once after installation success

1. If devices got update automatically and azenqos didn’t work after update, please re-
install Azenqos by following this guide again.
2. If the *CRITICAL* error happen (see picture below), please re-install Azenqos again
follow this guide
