ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION 2

Protection of environment is the act of conserving the natural surrounding by peoples, or

even by the government. According to Jordan, A., & Lenschow, A. (2010), the objectives of

environmental protection are “conserving natural resources and the existing natural environment

and, where possible, to repair damage and reverse trends.” We can say that our home is here on

earth, and therefore whenever we are in need of protecting our home we should consider first

protecting our environment from human activities. Pollution is resulted by some of the human

activities which we all assume. Pollution is becoming a threat to almost all corners of the world.

This therefore, brings us to the importance of protecting environment.

First, when we protect environment we generally protect humanity. We all understand

that pollution serves to be among the most factors which are very hazardous bringing effects to

the environment. It results in poor quality food hence ingesting poisonous materials. Whenever

we protect environment, we benefit from forests because they provide us with raw materials

(Kaiser et al. 2013). Forests are important parts of the general surrounding and through this they

provide us with timber and above all it is from the environment where we get food as a raw

material. By protecting the environment, we contribute in keeping a cool climate. For instance,

trees are much responsible for creation of shades. On the other hand, those trees found on urban

areas keeps the buildings cool hence they reduce the need for purchasing fans and air

conditioners.

In conclusion, it is indeed important to protect environment and mobilize people to have

positive attitude towards environmental protection. For instance, the process of respiration

happens only because there are good environments. Therefore, it means that environment is life.
