instructions:
You are crocheting in rounds (if not said otherwise), no joining at the ends of the rounds! I used cotton
thread Nr. 10 and crochet hook size 1.25mm, you can use whatever you have got, as long as all your yarn
is the same size.

Abreviations:
MR = Magic Ring (instead you can chain 2 and crochet in 2nd chain from hook)
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
dec = invisible decrease (put hook through front loop of first stitch, do not yarn over, put loop through
front loop of second stitch, yarn over and pull thread through both loops, finish your stitch as usual)
|1 sc, 1 dec| x3 = repeat what is between | | as often as indicated (here: 3 times)
flo = front loops only
blo = back loops only

R3: 7 hdc, •2 hdc in last stitch, continue with 2 hdc in 2 chain space from 2nd row• this is the short side
of the basket
R4: from here on you are working in rounds! 8 hdc in backloops of foundation chain, 2x 2 sc in the short
side of rows 2 & 3 (24 hdc)
continue in spiral, no joining!
R5: 24 hdc (24)
R6: 24 sc (24) fasten off

Blanket (worked in rows):
R1: chain 10, turn,
R2: 8 hdc (starting in 3rd from hook) chain 2 and turn
R3-8: repeat R2 (without chain 2 at the end of row 8) finish off

Swaddle Jesus in blanket and put him in the basket. It should be a tight fit, sew if necessary.
