91- RCDs are classifled according to t$eir response to D.c.

signals. Explain how RCD types AC,A and'B response to the
f orm of residual current '..ai,'.
''b. atr RCD is used a! the pro' device against electric shock
in TT systems,. ASSume that the t.Jistance of the earth
electrode of the substation neutraf is 1O Q and the resistance
of the earth electrode of the installaltion is 20 O.
1. what are the two conditions ttrft must .be furfirred
by the RCD fo'r correct operatifn?
2. carculate the maximum possible earth f aul-t cqrrrent
within the above installati'on Ly considering the
WOTSI CASC.
3. Calculate fault voltaqe. Is it dange rou s?
