The AP’s can also be set into standalone mode to function as a “normal” non managed AP.
On top of the Hardware components we have ezMaster, the Software Controller in the Neutron series

The second component in the EWS Neutron Series are the Access Points. We have both indoor and outdoor models. In The EWS Neutron
Solution The Access Points are connected wired to the Management switches. Also most of the times the AP’s are powered by the switch.

I recommend to use the EWS solution starting from 4 access point deployments. For smaller
deployment I would recommend stand alone setups, with WDS modes .
This slide shows the components to start with:

(EWS5912FP) switches, you can mange up to 20 AP’s.
In this exact setup with 4 AP’s you are able to cater 80* simultaneous users.
You can extend this deployment to make use of the 20 AP management capability of this
switch, by adding 4 AP’s or even further extend with an EGS switch for more Power budget and
even 8 more AP’s for more coverage, throughput and concurrent users.

EnGenius has many years of experience in
outdoor solutions. And was pioneer and expert in
Long Range wireless devices. Currently we apply
our experience in our models. For Europe we
decided a few years ago to fully comply with the
local legislation and our devices follow the
European law by special European version
firmware.

Outdoor:
Endpoint Access Point mode (Directional variation)
As a variation on the Omni directional deployment of the access points,
sometimes a directional deplymoment could be more suitable.
For instance the ENS202 (directional) has an angle of 90° and thus can cover a 90° sector.
ENS202 with 90°
Directional antenna
In this case you can cover a square starting from a corner.
For certain deployments (terrace etc) this could be a very suitable solution (mounted on the wall of a building).
Due to the directional characteristic, the distance is even further that the omni directional model.

Outdoor:
Endpoint Access Point mode (Directional variation)
Combining Sector AP with
a few AP’s.
When combining multiple sectors, you can cover a wider angle. You can
divide the wireless networks in sectors by angle, and on top of this you can
increase the throughput dividing it over multiple access points.

Outdoor: Point-to-Point (Classic)
In this classic Point to point deployment, the devices are set in AP and CB mode, but If you want to setup a
transparant bridge you use WDS Bridge. In this case the AP’s are wirelessly connected to eachother by MAC address,
and it functions as a pure cable to cable connection, without loosing VLAN tags etc.

Directional AP
Within the Range of the angle of the AP, you can connect to multiple Client Bridges (CB’s).
In this case you can setup Point-to-MultiPoint deployments using Directional Access Points.
Please remember that directional AP’s have further reach than omni-directional models.
With Multiple AP’s in as AP in the base you can widen your “sector”.

In this case you can split the backhaul and Endpoint AP’s from eachother to maintain the network throughput.
