Message Masdg Topdcw110519
It is written in Galatians 6: 9-10, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for
at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we
have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to
the family of believers.
Ladies and gentlemen, our dear Father and Transformational and Servant
Leader in the Province of La Union, Governor Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R.
Ortega III, our equally passionate and hardworking Vice Governor, my esteemed
colleagues in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, our guests, friends, PGLU employees
and of course the men and women of the hour, our honorees for today, our ten
chosen and excellent daycare workers….a pleasant time and day to everyone.
Today, God allowed us to come and gather as one to give due recognition
and honor to the men and women who never become weary in doing their job,
who surpassed the level of performance to excellence, who extended not just
within the job description but selfless love, sacrifice and strong commitment to a
profession that does not only require the ability or skills, talents and knowledge
but above all, required strong sacrificial values, the heart and the love.
To us, we know that they are the second parents of our kids when we turn
them over in the DayCare Centers…..
They are teachers. Their lesson plan for everyday is to teach our kids how to
fall in line without pushing, how to wash hands, how to share, how to say please,
thank you and even I love you, how to take turns, how to take play and take turns
with the toys in the center….
They are janitors and nurses. They do first aid, whenever a daycare child is
hurt at play. They sweep, mop, dust, sanitize, take out trash and bring neat and
order in the room after the children finish playing.
They are chefs, waiters and waitresses. They cook and serve food for these
kids during feeding programs.
They are farmers and gardeners. They initiate in the beautification of their
centers. They plant ornamentals and even vegetables that would be used in the
feeding programs.
They are the fathers and mothers in the centers….
They are patient and kind. They are trustworthy. They do their best with
no promise of rest. They don’t enjoy disciplining, but they do it with love. Their
heart swells to see your child grow and learn and smile and play.
Yes, to all they toil day in and day out in daycare centers, their remuneration
is not enough….as above all they do it not of the compensation but for the love….
And today, this awarding ceremony is our way of saying, “Thank You Very
Much…” and Mam, Sir…., “You Are the Best.”
Let us pray and continue praying for our daycare workers. They are one of
the pillars and keys for our nation to be great again and that our province will have
children who will grow up to be God-Fearing, People-Oriented, Accountable and
Committed for the LOVE OF LA UNION AND FOR THE GREATER GLORY OF GOD.
Thank you very much for listening…. with a prayer that the message shall
remain in our hearts….
