Letter of Recommendation

This is to support in favor of Ms. Dasari Swathi, whom I known for the past four years. Though
many students approached me to make this request on their behalf, I recommend those students
who I fell are well-suited for the program they have chosen. Ms.Dasari Swathi is one of those
students and therefore I highly recommend that she will be given an opportunity to attend your
University. She has consistently showed desire to learn that I simply cannot turn down her
request.

I taught her GEO-TECHNICAL ENGINNERING-1 in 5th semester and GEO-TECHNICAL

ENGINEERING-2 in 6th semester. She performed well in class discussions, brain storming
activities and always has eager to gain knowledge. She also showed excellence while working in
labs and field studies. This combined with her pragmatic approach has always kept her ahead of
her peers.

Moreover, she showcased her talents in competitions conducted by our department. She
maintained her management skills in balancing academics and extra-curricular activities. I feel
that she is equipped with good communication skills, leadership qualities and academic record.
Being an amicable student, she maintains good rapport with professors.

With full confidence in her abilities, I strongly recommend Ms.Dasari Swathi for her higher
studies in your esteemed University, preferably with suitable financial aid.

Sincerely,

(Dr. K. Rajeswara Rao)

Until recently most safety factors in design have had an empirical background based on local
experience over an extended period of time. As additional experience is accumulated and more
knowledge is gained from failures as well as familiarity with the properties of concrete, factors
of safety are adjusted and in most cases lowered by codifying bodies. Ex: the factor of safety of
concrete in working stress method was 3 and the same was reduced to 1.5 in limit state design.

The emphasis on knowledge as involving little more than remembering or recall distinguishes it from those
conceptions of knowledge which involve "understanding," "insight," or which are phrased as "really know," or "true
knowledge." In these latter conceptions it is implicitly assumed that knowledge is of little value if it cannot be
utilized in new situations or in a form very different from that in which it was originally encountered.
The denotations of these latter concepts would usually be close to what have been defined as "abilities and
skills" in the taxonomy. ( Benjamin Bloom)
