Each question shall carry one mark. There will be provision for Negative Marking the examination and 1/4th (0.25) marks will be deducted
for every wrong answer.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
1. The candidate must bring the coloured printed E-Admit Card on the day of examination to the allotted Examination Centre on the date and time mentioned
above. The printed E Admit card must be presented for verication along with at least one ORIGINAL (not photocopy or scanned copy) valid PHOTO
IDENTIFICATION CARD Voter Identity Card, Driving Licence, PAN Card, Passport, Aadhaar Card, etc. The candidate should also afx/paste (do not
staple) recent color photograph as uploaded in online application at the space provided and sign across the photograph.
2. The candidate’s photograph and signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and should match the name on E-Admit Card. The
Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged.
3. Candidates will NOT be allowed to enter the Test Centre without valid E-Admit Card and Photo Identication card as mentioned above.
4. NO REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN THE TEST DATE, TIME, EXAMINATION CENTRE, and SESSION & VENUE WILL BE CONSIDERED UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES.
5. The E-Admit Card will be valid only for the test date and session time as specied above at page no. 1.
6. This E – Admit Card does not constitute an offer of employment. No travelling expenses will be admissible for appearing in the Computer Baes Test. You
will have to make your own arrangements for your board and lodging at the place of Computer Based Test. Please note that no other allowances, local
transportation, taxi fare, etc., shall be admissible for attending the Test.
7. Your candidature for the written test is ‘PURELY PROVISIONAL’ pending detailed scrutiny of eligibility as per Oil India Limited’s advertisement. This call
letter is issued based on the declarations made by you in your online application submitted for the post. In case, it is found at any stage of
recruitment/selection process that the you do not fulll the eligibility criteria and the declarations made by you or any document/information submitted by
you are found to be false or you have provided any wrong information, at any point of time, your candidature will be cancelled. If such an event happens
after appointment, your services will be terminated without prejudice to OIL’s right to take any action as it may deem t.
8. No candidate shall be permitted in the examination centre without carrying this E-Admit Card and government ID proof (in original) under any
circumstances. In case, change in the name by the candidate after/before marriage, the candidate must bring the original matriculation certicate along
with marriage registration certicate/other documentary proof (in original ) along with original Identication Card to establish the identity after marriage.
The identity of the candidate will be matched from the proofs to be provided by the candidate. Candidates are allowed to carry only E-Admit Card and
Identity proof inside the examination centre.
9. Based on your declarations in the online application, it is presumed that you have applied through proper channel. In case you qualify for the next round of
selection tests and you are employed in any Government, Semi-Government or Public Sector Organization, you will have to produce, in original, a NO
OBJECTION CERTIFICATE from your present employer at the time of Personal Interview without which you will not be allowed to appear for the Personal
Interview.
10. The E-Admit Card is made available on the web site https://www.oil-india.com/ for downloading& printing by the candidates. This E-Admit Card is
computer generated and shall not be sent by post.
11. Candidates are required to reach their allotted exam centres on reporting time as mentioned in the E-Admit Card (which is 1 and ½ hours in
advance than the scheduled time of examination) so that entry formalities and compulsory physical frisking can be done smoothly. The main
gate of examination centre will be closed half an hour before the commencement of the examination time. No late coming is allowed. Candidates are,
therefore, advised to locate their test centre and its accessibility at least a day before the test so that they can reach the centre on time on the day of the test.
Oil India Limited will not be responsible for late coming.
12. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examination hall during the Computer based Test/Examination.
13. Candidate’s admission to all the stages of the examination is purely PROVISIONAL subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of
E-Admit Card to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been nally considered by OIL.
14. Candidates are required to register themselves on Biometric System before commencement of Test, therefore, for capturing Bio-metric data, candidates
are advised not to apply any external material on their hands/foot like Mehandi, ink etc.
15. Once the Biometric attendance/Capturing of photograph is done at the Registration Desk, the candidate should proceed to the allocated computer node
and should not leave the Examination Room/Hall before end of the examination. After the Computer Based Test (CBT) is over the candidates should
appear for bio-metric re-verication before leaving the computer lab. The candidate should ensure that biometric image and photograph are captured
properly during bio-metric verication as your bio-metrics captured during CBT may be veried during the remaining stages of selection process.
16. Rough Sheet(s) will be provided to candidate for rough work, which will have to be returned to the invigilators after end of the examination. Candidate
should clearly write his/her name and Roll No. on each rough sheet.
17. User ID and password for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be provided to the candidate 10 minutes before commencement of the test/exam at their
respective seat. The Candidate will be required to enter Login ID and Password which will be provided at examination centre to appear for Computer
Based Test. Please ensure that your name, photograph appearing on the computer screen are correct after login.
18. In order to familiarize with the Computer Based Test/Examination, the candidates are advised to go through the demo (mock test) available on the website
https://www.oil-india.com/.
19. The candidates should check the particulars viz., Name, Date of Birth, Category, Sub-category, etc mentioned in E-Admit Card carefully and also eligibility
in all respects as per recruitment in Advertisement. The registered candidates may log grievances, if any, with Recruitment Help Desk Email:

In case of grievance w. r. t. particulars i.e., Name, Date of Birth, Category, Sub-category, any admit card related query, etc as mentioned in online
application is not resolved, then the candidate is advised to personally report at the ‘Facilitation Counter’ on 29-11-2019 from 10.00 AM to 2.00 PM with
copies of documentary proofs i.e., copy of online application form, certicate, testimonials, etc along with two (2) passport/stamp size photographs and
photo identity card so that necessary corrections are made. The address of the ‘Facilitation Counter’ will be posted on OIL’s website for information of
the candidates.
20. Candidates must refrain from creating any obstruction during the conduct of examination. If any candidate is found obstructing the conduct of the
examination or creating disturbances at the examination venue, his/her candidature shall be summarily cancelled. Such candidate shall also be liable to
be debarred from future examinations of the OIL and legal proceedings could be initiated against him/her.
21. The candidate should bring only E-Admit Card, original Photo Identication Card and Ball Point Pens to Examination Centre. Candidates are
strictly advised not to bring mobile/cellular phones, electronic gadgets, earphones or microphones, books, notes, electronics or wrist watches
of any kind, pagers or any other electronic communications device, bags, wallet, purses, pen drives or dongles, any type of metallic items,
jewellery etc. inside the examination centre/premises. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action against such candidates
including ban from future examinations. Candidates are also advised not to bring any valuable/costly items to the examination centre, as safekeeping of
the same cannot be assured. OIL will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.
22. Frisking will be done at entry point and during the examination. In the examination, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of: (i) using unfair means
during the examination or (ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or (iii) misbehaving in the examination hall or (iv) resorting to any
irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for selection or (v) obtaining support for his/her candidature by any unfair means, such
a candidate may, in addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution, will also be liable: (a) to be disqualied from the examination for
which he/she is a candidate and (b) to be debarred, either permanently or for a specied period, from any examination or recruitment conducted by OIL.
23. Candidate is also advised to read the “Online Examination Instructions” carefully for computer based test/exam available with this E-Admit Card.

25. Please retain this E-Admit Card carefully for future records, as the same is required to be produced at the time/stage of document verication.
26. Objection management link will be opened for candidates 2-3 days after the conduct of examination to see his/her marks online and submit representation
towards the questions to OIL.
27. Anyone found to be disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing or facilitating transmission and storage of test contents in any form or any
information therein in whole or part thereof or by any means i.e., verbal or written, electronic or mechanical or taking away the papers supplied in the test
centre or found to be in unauthorised possession of test content will be considered as serious misconduct and will be debarred/disqualied from selection
process. Oil India Limited will take disciplinary and legal action as per rules and such cases will be reported to police, if necessary.
ONLINE EXAMINATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Total duration of test/examination is as mentioned in the E-Admit card.


2. The clock will be set at the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of screen will display the remaining time
available for you to complete the examination. When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself. You will not
be required to end or submit your examination.
3. The Question Palette displayed on the right side of screen will show the status of each question using one of the following
symbols:

4. To answer a question, do the following:

a. Click on the question number in the Question Palette to go to that question directly.
b. Click on Save & Next to save your answer for the current question and then go to the next question.
c. Click on Mark for Review & Next to mark the current question for review, and then go to the next question.
d. Caution: Note that your answer for the current question will be not be saved, if you navigate to another question directly
(without saving the answer) by clicking on its question number.

Answering a Question :

5. Procedure for answering a multiple choice type question:

a. To select your answer, click on the button of one of the options.


b. To deselect your chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the Clear Response button.
c. To change your chosen answer, click on the button of another option
d. To save your answer, you MUST click on the Save & Next button.

To mark the question for review, click on the Mark for Review & Next button. If an answer is selected for a question
that is Marked for Review, that answer will NOT be considered in the evaluation since there is negative marking for
each wrong answer.
