Each question shall carry one mark. There will be no negative marking in the Computer Based Test (CBT). The pass mark to qualify in the
Computer Based Test (CBT) will be minimum 40% marks for SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and minimum 50% marks for others.
Final selection will be made in order of merit on the basis of the marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT) only. In the final merit list
for selection, if Computer Based Test (CBT) marks of more than one candidate are same, then the candidate who obtains more marks in Part-
C of the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be given preference. In case, if the marks in Part-C are same, then the candidate who obtains more
marks in Part-B will be given preference. If the marks in Part-B are also same, then the candidate older in age will be given preference in the
final merit list.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CBT CAREFULLY

Dear Candidate,

Please read the following important instructions for appearing in the CBT carefully:

1. The candidate must bring the E-Admit Card printed in coloured format on the day of Computer Based Test to the allotted
Test Centre on the date and time mentioned above. The printed E-Admit card must be presented for verification along
with at least one ORIGINAL (not photocopy or scanned copy) valid PHOTO IDENTIFICATION CARD viz. Voter
Identity Card, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, Aadhaar Card etc. The candidate should also affix/paste (do not
staple) recent color photograph as uploaded in online application at the space provided and sign across the photograph.

2. The candidate’s photograph and signature should be legibly printed and visible on the photo ID card and should match
the name on E-Admit Card. The Photo ID card should not be damaged or smudged.

3. Candidates will NOT be allowed to enter the Test Centre without valid E-Admit Card and Photo Identification card in
original as mentioned above.

4. Candidates will be under CCTV surveillances from entry to exit in the test premises.

5. In case of change in the name by the candidate due to marriage, the candidate must bring the original matriculation
certificate along with marriage registration certificate/other documentary proof (in original) along with original
Identification Card to establish the identity after marriage. The identity of the candidate will be matched from the
proofs to be provided by the candidate. Candidates are allowed to carry only E-Admit Card and Identity proof inside
the Test centre.

6. NO REQUEST FOR CHANGE IN THE TEST DATE, TIME and TEST CENTRE WILL BE CONSIDERED UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES.

7. The E-Admit Card will be valid only for the Test date as specified above at page no. 1.

8. This E-Admit Card does not constitute an offer of employment.

9. This E-Admit Card is issued based on the declarations made by the candidate in his/her online application submitted
for the post. In case, it is found at any stage of recruitment/selection process that the candidate does not fulfill the
eligibility criteria and the declarations made by him/her or any document/information submitted by him/her are found
to be false or he/she has provided any wrong information, at any point of time, the candidate’s candidature will be
cancelled. If such an event happens after appointment, his/her services will be terminated without prejudice to OIL’s
right to take any action as it may deem fit.

10. The E-Admit Card is made available on the web site https://www.oil-india.com for downloading & printing by the
candidates. This E-Admit Card is computer generated and shall not be sent by post.

11. Candidates are required to reach their allotted Test Centres on reporting time as mentioned in the E-
Admit Card (which is One hour in advance than the scheduled time of Test) so that entry formalities and
compulsory frisking can be done smoothly. The main gate of Test centre will be closed half an hour before the
commencement of the test time. No late coming is allowed. Candidates are, therefore, advised to locate their Test
centre and its accessibility at least a day before the test so that they can reach the centre on time on the day of the test.
Oil India Limited will not be responsible for late coming.

12. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the Test hall during the Computer based Test.

13. Compensatory time in addition to the duration of the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be allowed to eligible candidates
who are Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, as applicable. Further, all other guidelines of the Government of India
pertaining to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities including scribe etc. will be followed during the Computer Based
Test (CBT). Moreover, candidate using their own Scribe must bring coloured photograph of the Scribe.

14. Eligible SC, ST and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities candidates appearing in applicable selection test(s) will be
reimbursed 2nd class Rail/Bus fare by the shortest route on production of proof as per rules. Accordingly, eligible SC,
ST and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities candidate(s) are advised to bring/submit the completely filled in
‘Travelling Allowance Claim Form’ with correct details along with the tickets, copy of PAN Card and copy of bank
passbook for the same.

15. Candidate’s admission to all the stages of the selection tests is purely PROVISIONAL subject to satisfying the
prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of admit card/call letter to the candidate(s) for any stage of the selection
process will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally accepted by OIL. If due to any
unintentional/inadvertent/undue error, an admit card/call letter has been issued to any candidate (ineligible/duplicate
etc.), in such a case, the admit card will be considered as invalid and the candidature of such a candidate will be
summarily rejected on detection at any stage of the selection process.

16. Candidates may be required to produce their document(s)/certificate(s)/testimonial(s) at any stage of the selection
process. The candidature may be rejected at any stage if the document(s)/certificate(s)/testimonial(s), etc. are not
found to be in order or as per our requirement. On verification of document(s)/certificate(s)/ testimonial(s), if any

candidate is found to have made a false declaration and submitted false/fake/incorrect
document(s)/certificate(s)/testimonial(s), the candidature of the candidate will be disqualified/rejected, the
candidate's name will be blacklisted and will not be considered for any future employment in OIL.

17. Rough Sheet(s) will be provided to candidate for rough work, which will have to be returned to the invigilators after
end of the Test. Candidate should clearly write his/her name and Roll No. on each rough sheet.

18. User ID and password for the Computer Based Test (CBT) will be provided to the candidate 10 minutes before
commencement of the test at their respective seat. The Candidate will be required to enter Login ID and Password
which will be provided at Test centre to appear for Computer Based Test. Please ensure that candidate’s name,
photograph appearing on the computer screen are correct after login.

19. In order to familiarize themselves with the Computer Based Test, the candidates are advised to go through the demo
(mock test) available on the website https://www.oil-india.com.

20. The candidates should check the particulars viz., Name, Date of Birth, Category, etc. mentioned in E-Admit Card
carefully and also eligibility in all respects as per the Online Advertisement. The registered candidates may log
grievances, if any, with Recruitment Help Desk Email: helpdesk.oilindia@cbtexams.in or Helpdesk no.:
8866678549, 8866678559, at least a day before the scheduled CBT.

21. Candidates must refrain from creating any obstruction during the conduct of Test. If any candidate is found obstructing
the conduct of the Test or creating disturbances at the Test venue, his/her candidature shall be summarily cancelled.
Such candidate shall also be liable to be debarred from future Tests of OIL and legal proceedings could be initiated
against him/her.

22. The candidate should bring only E-Admit Card, original Photo Identification Card, Ball Point Pen and TA
Claim form (only for SC, ST and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities candidates) with proof of travel to the Test
Centre. Candidates are strictly advised not to bring mobile/cellular phones, electronic gadgets, earphones or
microphones, calculator, smart pen, books, notes, electronics or wrist watches of any kind, pagers or any other
electronic communications device, bags, wallet, purses, pen drives or dongles, any type of metallic items, jewellery
etc. inside the Test premises. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action against such
candidates including ban from future Tests. Candidates are also advised not to bring any valuable/costly items to the
Test centre, as safekeeping of the same cannot be assured. OIL will not be responsible for any loss in this regard.

23. Frisking will be done at entry point and during the Test. In the Test , if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of:
(i) using unfair means during the Test or (ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or (iii)
misbehaving in the Test hall or (iv) resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/her
candidature for selection or (v) obtaining support for his/her candidature by any unfair means, such a candidate may,
in addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution, will also be liable: (a) to be disqualified from
the Test for which he/she is a candidate and (b) to be debarred, either permanently or for a specified period, from
any recruitment tests conducted by OIL.

24. Candidate is also advised to read the “Online CBT Instructions” carefully for Computer Based Test available with this
E-Admit Card.

25. Candidates are also advised to keep visiting website https://www.oil-india.com for further updates.

26. Please retain the printed E-Admit Card carefully for future records, as the same is required to be produced in the
subsequent stage(s), as applicable.

27. Anyone found to be disclosing, publishing, reproducing, transmitting, storing or facilitating transmission and storage
of test contents in any form or any information therein in whole or part thereof or by any means i.e., verbal or written,
electronic or mechanical or taking away the papers supplied in the test centre or found to be in unauthorized
possession of test content will be considered as serious misconduct and will be debarred/disqualified from selection
process. Oil India Limited will take disciplinary and legal action as per rules and such cases will be reported to police, if
necessary.

28. Candidates have to make their own arrangement for lodging and boarding for appearing in any stage of the selection
process. No accommodation or arrangement for keeping documents or belongings will be provided during the entire
selection process.

29. Please be guided by the online advertisement/vacancy notification dated 24/08/2021 for the post applied for, as
applicable, on such relevant matters and all other information/criteria regarding eligibility, acceptance or rejection of
the applications, mode of selection, cancellation of the recruitment process etc. shall be governed by the
policy(s)/procedures/rules and regulations prevailing in the Company.

30. The decision of the Management will be final and binding on all candidates on all matters relating to the eligibility,
acceptance or rejection of the applications, mode of selection, cancellation of the recruitment process, etc. and no
enquiry/correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

31. Canvassing in any form, directly or indirectly will result in disqualification of the candidature and no correspondence
will be entertained in this regard. The candidate's name will be blacklisted and will not be considered for any future
employment in OIL.

COVID INSTRUCTION:

 Candidate must bring their own Face Mask, Hand Gloves, personal hand sanitizer (50ml), ball point pen, PET water
Bottle (transparent) and the test related documents (Admit Card, Photo ID Card etc.). No other items will be permitted
inside test Lab/Hall.

 Candidate must maintain social distancing starting from point of entry in the test venue till his/her exit from the test
venue and follow the Signage/Notice Board.

 Temperature of candidates will be checked at the entry point of the test venue via a Thermo Gun.

 Candidates need to follow directions given by test centre representatives in order to observe social distancing at the
entry point.

 At registration desk, the candidate will be directed to sanitize his / her hands using sanitizer after which Photograph
will be captured during the registration process.

BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT OFFERS


It has been brought to our notice that some unscrupulous individuals/criminal elements are attempting
to defraud jobseekers/general public by issuing fake engagement/appointment letters, assuring jobs
etc. in Oil India Limited. It may be noted that Oil India Limited has well laid out and transparent
policies/procedures and engagement/appointment letters are issued by the Company to selected candidates at the
conclusion of such a process. Oil India Limited does not authorize any person/organization outside of Oil India
Limited to offer any job on its behalf.
Through this public notice, Oil India Limited warns all job seekers/general public to be vigilant against such
unscrupulous elements and reject such engagement/appointment letters, assurance of jobs etc. in the Company.
