ANSWER
1. Because, authentic assessment is more effective to teach and assign students to success as
well as involving students physically.
2. Why I use portofolio assessment is because Porfotolio assessment is a systematic
compilations of students assignment and related material that with the student”s
activities, accomplishments, and achievements in one or more school subjects.. The
example of portofolio assessment is is first the teacher and the student need to clearly
identify the porfotolio contents, which are samples of student work, reflection teacher
observation, and conference records. Second, the teacher should develop evalutaion
procedures for keeping track of the porfotolio contents and for grading the porfotolio,
third the teacher needs a plan for holding porfotolio conference, which are formal and
informal meeetings in which students review their work and discuss their progress.
3. Why I use self assessment is because self assessment is important aspects of ‘assessment for
learning’ practice. Assessing their own work or that of others can help students to develop their
understanding of the Intended Learning Outcomes and the Assessment Criteria. Research has
shown that learners make more progress when they are actively involved in their own learning
and assessment. Self-assessment “is the involvement of students in identifying standards and/
or criteria to apply to their work, and making judgments about the extent to which they have
met these criteria and standards. The example of using the self assessment is The example of
applying self assessment is students are invited to complete a simple self assessment
sheet according to agrred criteria and submit it with completed assessment. To extend the
benefits of the exercise, students can be asked to explain why they evaluated themselves
in particulary ways. Students can be awarded a precentage for completing the assessment
or graded for the quality of their rationale for their self-assessment. Studies that evaluated
the use of a simple self-asssesment component like this report a number of benefits. One
of the most interesting is the feedback from students that the sef;-assessment requirement
made them return regulary to the criteria as they were working on the assignment and
keep checking their own performance againts them. this heightened engagement with the
implications of criteria can help deepen students’ understanding of what constitutes
quality learning.
4. Why using peer assesment because Peer assessment involves students taking
responsibility for assessing the work of their peers against set assessment criteria. They
can therefore be engaged in providing feedback to their peerssummative grades. It's a
powerful way for your students to act as the 'assessor' and to gain an opportunity to better
understand assessment criteria It can also transfer some ownership of the assessment
process to them, thereby potentially increasing their motivation and engagement. The
example of applying peer assessment is exchanging notes, a simple introduction to the
concept of peer feedback is to invite students to exchange lecture notes in the final
segment of a class and to discuss perceived gaps and differences in understanding. This
can be done on a regular basis and has many potential benefits. It gets students used to
discussing their work with their peers, it can helps students to improve and enhance their
understanding.
5. I use conference assessment because conference is alternative assessment which the
teacher can provide feedback with specific goals. This assessment is focus on suggestion
and comment in individualized goal on formal level. With using this assessment we can
knowing the students individually, the teacher can also teach the strategies specific to
students needs, and the teacher can ask good opend-ended question to make the students
crictical reflection on the writing. The example of using this assessment is when the
teacher give reading material the teacher can also identifying the students need, by using
open-ended question. After the teacher know about the students need, the teacher should
give feedback to them and give the strategies to them for their need.
6. The reason for assess intercultural competence in English is for knowing how deep the
students knowledge about their culture an also known how the interpretation and
understanding the other culture by assessing intercultural competence. So, the students
will know what will they teach to the students by looking the students background
knowledge about their own or other culture.
7. Why use the we use journal as assessment in technique in English subject because the
journal is containing live picture of students growing understanding as subject or
experiences, it will show how the students learning and developing , experiences and help
the teacher to identify the students strength, weakness and preferences in learning. The
example of application it is they need to find the issue for writing the journal, after that
they should explore and identifying their difficulties about their understanding, than they
have to develop and refine their ideas and they can think about how they use their
experience to improve their learning, thinking and working about the project that they
did.
8. Why we apply observation as a technique in assessment English subject because
observation containing direct information, easy to complete and can be used in natural or
experimental setting. The example of apllying this first the teacher will choose the
specific objective of the observation . Second choose how many students will be
observed at one time. Set up the logistic for making unnoticed observation. And than
Designthe system for recording observed performances. The teacher have to do is not
over estimate the number of different element that can observe at one time –keep them
very limited. Plan how many observations that will make. Determine specifically how the
tacher will use the results.
9. Why we should apply e-assessment as an assessment in English subject because it is
really effective for students and teacher. With e-assessment, the teacher can givethe
students material from web and also give the assignment for students. The students will
get the material and the asiignment and do it in the web. If the students have difficulties
with the assignment the students can asking the teacher about that. The example of using
this assessment is the teacher can use the school web to posting the material and the
assignment on there. The students need to open on the web to get materials and the
assignment. If the students have a difficulties with the assignment the students can ask to
the teacher and the teacher will give a clue for the answer.
