Selfie Video Murder

Synopsis
Dheeraj Choudhary recorded a video and put it on his facebook. The video claimed that he is scared for
his life. The people whom he owes money (nearly 1.5 Cr) are threatening him, if he doesn't pay he will
die. And the very next day he dies. Police arrests the accused Dheeraj named in the video but later on
they realized why would the accused killed a man who already named them in a viral video. On further
investigation it came into the light that this whole thing was planned by Dheeraj’s wife Priti, her brother
in law Varun and Dheeraj’s friend Jaipdeep. Jaideep used to work for the UP police but took voluntary
retirement and started the money lending business. Dheeraj had borrowed Rs 1.5 crore from Jaideep at
an interest of 3%. He further loaned out the money to other persons at 8% interest. But when Jaideep
asked Dheeraj to return, Dheeraj could not return it as his debtors did not return him. This soured the
relationship between Jaideep and Dheeraj. Jaideep knew that Dheeraj’s wife Priti had developed a
relationship with Varun, so he roped him and promised equal share in Dheeraj’s property. Priti and
Varun developed relationship while Dheeraj was in jail in a case for eight months. Also, Varun, who
used to stay at Dheeraj’s house earlier, was angry with him as Dheeraj had promised to give him `6 lakh
for his sister’s marriage, but backed off at the last moment. As per the plan, in June, Priti convinced
Dheeraj to prepare a video on his mobile phone in which he said that his five debtors should be held
responsible if any untoward incident happens with him. Varun, Jaideep and Monu planned to kill
Dheeraj on June 22 but they backed off at the last moment. They gunned down Dheeraj in the second
attempt on June 26. But the police investigation went haywire when they saw Dheeraj’s video. But the
persons named in the video, were not involved in the murder. Priti’s call record made police suspicious.
Both were questioned and they broke down.Priti and Varun were arrested on Wednesday, while Jaideep
and Monu are on the run.
