Neuroscience

• A branch of the life sciences that deals with the anatomy, physiology,
biochemistry, or molecular biology of nerves and nervous tissue and
especially with their relation to behavior and learning.
• Neuroscience is concerned with how they work at a basic level and how
they manifest in behavior and personality directly. It is concerned with the
neural and biological bases of behavior.
Cell
Cells are the basic unit of life. In biology, the basic membrane-bound unit that
contains the fundamental molecules of life. it is the basic structural, functional,
and biological unit of all known organisms. 3 basic components of cell:
• A cell membrane that keeps the chemical reactions of life together.
• At least one chromosome, composed of genetic material that contain the
cell’s “blueprints” and “software.”
• Cytoplasm – the fluid inside the cell, in which the chemical processes of life
occur.
Tissue
Tissues are groups of cells that have a similar structure and act together to
perform a specific function. There are four different types of tissues in animals:
connective, muscle, nervous, and epithelial.
Organ
An organ is a self-contained group of tissues that performs a specific function in
the body. The heart, liver, and stomach are examples of organs in humans.
Organ system
They are made up of groups of organs that work together in order to carry out a
certain function. Humans have 11 different organ systems. Nervous system is one
of them.
parts of the circulatory system, including the heart, arteries, and veins
