LIST OF DE-REGISTERED MOBILE CRANES FOUND TO BE

ILLEGALLY RETROFITTED

Since the implementation of the policy to limit the service life of mobile cranes, the
Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHD) has conducted surveillance audits on
mobile cranes.

2 We have found several mobile cranes that were illegally retrofitted by replacing the
original aged crane with a newer crane (some even with a different brand/make) onto the
original vehicle chassis, so as to get around the policy. These retrofitted mobile cranes
had been de-registered and will not be allowed to re-register for use. The list of de-
registered mobile cranes is in Appendix 1.

3. All crane owners / factory occupiers are reminded that it is an offence to

operate/use any of these de-registered mobile cranes. Should you notice any retrofitted
mobile cranes being used, you may notify the Division via the following email:
