Subject: Four/Six laning of Aunta - Simaria (Ganga Bridge with approach road) section of NH 31 from KM
197.900 to 206.050 (Design Chainage) and (Existing Chainage Km 204.741 to Km 209.945 of NH-31) [Total
Design Length – 8.150 km] in the State of Bihar on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) basis. Reg: Testing of Pre-
stressing material (Remainder-01).

Dear Sir,
According MoRT&H clause 1803.2.3, test should be conducted on raw materials with finished product of pre-
stressing duct, in accordance with fib Technical Report Bulletin 7 ‘’Corrugated plastic ducts for internal
bonded post tensioning”. Hence, WEL would like to remind you to perform the necessary test and kindly
instruct to the agency to make necessary arrangement to witness the test by WEL and IE.

As it has already been communicated to SPS that, IE/NHAI is continuously following about it, so kindly
arrange the following test at earliest.

Dear Sir,
With reference to the above subject, the following construction methodology are yet to be submitted by
SPS, for review and approval from Employer / Concessionaire.
1. Lower Pylon
2. Pier Table
3. Upper Pylon
4. Segment Shifting and Movement plan with Equipment details
5. Geometric survey (Camber/Profiling) of segment during erection.
The survey work presently conducted on the segment before and after pre-stressing is not enough. Detailed
Geometric survey on the segment is must, which is not being followed by SPS. In order to avoid any future
inconvenience while launching the segment please follow the detailed Geometrical survey at earliest.
If SPS will not follow the proper methodology, WEL will not be responsible for any issue faced during
launching.
SPS will be fully responsible for any kind of untoward incident if they continue to follow the present survey
practises which is not sufficient. In order to avoid any problems in future because of incomplete survey,
please provide a detailed methodology of Geometric survey to WEL at the earliest.
Kindly submit the above mentioned methodology at earliest.
