Overview Nutritional Status of Students in Elementary School (SDN)

Padasuka Mekarsari Village Sumedang 2019

ABSTRACT
introduction: The nutritional status (nutritional status) is a measure of a person's body
condition that can be seen from the food consumed and the use of nutrients in the body.
Purpose: This study aims to describe the nutritional status of students of State Elementary
School (SDN) Padasuka in Sumedang in 2019.
Method: This study uses a descriptive observational study design is based on the nutritional
status of children Elementary School (SDN) Padasuka Mekarsari Village Sumedang in 2019,
amounting 271 students. The number of samples in this study were 162 students taken by total
sampling.
Results: Based on the results of the study found that average age of school students of SDN
Padasuka starting from the age of 6-12 years, has a short body height by 51 students (31.5%)
and the normal height as many as 111 students (68.5%), and based on distribution Nutritional
Status of Students Under Age Weight found that having undernourishment by 28 students
(17.3%), good nutrition as many as 130 students (80.2%) and better nutrition as much as 4
students (2.5% ).
Conclusion: For optimal distribution data of nutritional status based on height per age
students of SDN Padasuka Mekarsari Village Sumedang, stating that the number of stunted
figure was 31.5%, meanwhile according to Indonesia Ministry figures Sumedang in May
2019 reached 30.8%.

INTRODUCTION
Nutritional problems in primary school children is still very high, with 2013 Riskesdas data
which were obtained by the nutritional status of 5-12 years of age (according to BMI / U) in
Indonesia, the prevalence of underweight was 11.2%, consisting of 4% is very thin and
meager 7.2%.1 The nutritional status according to Almatsier (2003) in Pratama (2011),
divided into four kinds: 2
a. Severe Malnutrition Status
b. Moderate Malnutrition Status
c. Mild Malnutrition Status
d. Normal nutritional status
e. Overweight
METHOD
a descriptive study to see the description of Nutritional Status of Students in Elementary
School (SDN) Padasuka Mekarsari Village Sumedang 2019 This research was conducted at
SDN Padasuka Mekarsari Village, Sumedang Regency, West Java. Samples were taken by
Stratified Random Sampling method, amounting 271 students.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

6 - 8 years 9 - 12 years

Based on the research results obtained above table SDN Padasuka Mekarsari village
of 162 respondents obtained by the age of 6 - 8 years as many as 54 students (33.3%), aged 9-
12 years as many as 108 students (66,7 %).

Based on the research results obtained above table SDN Padasuka Mekarsari village of
162 respondents found the male sex of 80 students (49,4%) and 82 female students (50.6%).

Based on the research results obtained above table SDN Padasuka Mekarsari village of
162 respondents found that has a short body height by 51 students (31.5%) and the normal
height as many as 111 students (68.5%).

Based on the research results obtained above table SDN Padasuka Mekarsari village of
162 respondents found that having malnutrition by 28 students (17.3%), good nutrition as many
as 130 students (80.2%) and overweight as much as 4 students (2.5% ).

CONCLUSION

For optimal distribution data of nutritional status based on height per age students of SDN
Padasuka Mekarsari Village Sumedang, stating that the number of stunted figure was 31.5%,
meanwhile according to Indonesia Ministry figures Sumedang in May 2019 reached 30.8%.
