Summary of Moneyball Movie:

Moneyball is movie that aims to change the traditional approach of baseball player selection in the
Major League Baseball teams. It focuses on adopting statistics such as batting average, base rate and
more in order to discover less expensive ways to build an effective team that can compete against
competitors having more budgets.

The movie tells us about how to hand pick people based on not just what stage of their career they are
in, but also focus on the analytics side. Each person is only as good as the average stats of your entire
organization. The movie also focuses on setting and achieving realistic targets and not chase unrealistic
goals.

Much like in baseball teams, the people making up the organizations need to be responsive and be able
to work together to achieve goals. The movie explains why it is necessary to stay ahead of the curve in
order to overtake your competitors.

Lastly, the movie tells us that anything is possible, if you have the right data and make decisions based
on data, but not to overlook the possibility of sheer luck.
