As the colloquium would begin shortly, we would like to invite you to your seats.

headmasters and principals from Limbang and Lawas Division or their representatives,
fellow teachers, and other guests.

National Before we proceed, I would like to invite everybody to stand up for our national anthem ‘Negaraku’ Shira

Introduction First of all, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the Action research and Innovation Colloquium of SMK Shira
Medamit for the year 2019. I, Ms Nursyahirah and my partner, Ms Mariana, would be your emcees for
this event.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Let us give you a brief introduction to Action research and Innovation. Action research is an inquiry or
research focusing on efforts to improve the quality of an organization and its performance. It is designed
and conducted by practitioners who analyse data to improve their own practices.

In education, action research is used to help educators to be more effective at what they care most about
- the teaching and the development of their students. Seeing students grow is probably the greatest joy
 educators can experience. When teachers have convincing evidence that their work has made a real
difference in their student’s lives, the countless hours and endless efforts of teaching seem worthwhile.
And this can be done through action research and innovation.

Welcoming Now, I would like to invite Mr Raja Manikam a/l Subramaniam the principal of SMK Medamit to deliver Shira

Officiating Let us now invite Ms Soraya Bt Habibollah, the representative of Limbang District Education Officer to Mar
Speech deliver her speech.

Introduce It is my greatest pleasure to inform you that in 2018 SMK Medamit has produced 21 papers. Due to time Shira
judges and constraint, only 16 papers, deemed to be more interesting by our internal panel, have been chosen to be presented
time keeper today.
To show appreciation for the teachers’ effort and to motivate the teachers to be more competitive in conducting
their action research, the school’s administrators have decided to reward the best 3 action research and the best
presenter. In order to preserve neutrality and fairness, external judges have been appointed.
Now I would like to invite the honourable judges and time keeper to take their seats.
Let me introduce to all of you the judges for today’s competition. The first judge is Dr Usang Ngambang Mar
and the person beside him is Mr Ismail Bin Kedri acting as the second judge.
The time keeper for this competition is _________________________________________.
Each presenter will be given 15 minutes to present their paper. A bell will be rung at the 10th minute to indicate
that they have 5 minutes left to present.

1st Session 1. Now, without further ado, let’s proceed with our first presenter. Mr Kiranjit Singh with his
presentation - Penggunaan KAD PES dalam membantu pelajar sekolah luar bandar untuk
menjawab soalan Kemahiran Berfikir Aras Tinggi (KBAT) Terbuka dalam mata pelajaran sejarah .

3. Our next presenter is Mr Marshall Anak Johan with his action research entitled Penggunaan Video Shira
TOSA bagi meningkatkan prestasi mata pelajaran sejarah Tingkatan 5.

4. Ladies and gentleman, our next presenter will talking about Penggunaan Teknik Mnemonik untuk Mar
Menguasai peta 7 Kerajaan di Alam Melayu. It is my pleasure to welcome Ms Christina Jeragam

5. Next to share with us his presentation on ‘Mahir Pendahuluan Memlaui Kaedah TAJA – Tanya & Shira
Jawab), I would like to welcome Mr Nor Halimi Bin Mohamad.

action research with entitled ‘Kaedah Pengajaran Penambahan dan Penolakan Nombor Positif dan
Negatif Integer Menggunakan Gambarajah Sel Bateri terhadap Pelajar Tingkatan 1B’

8. Our last presenter for the 1st session, Ms Janet Anthony Tanggoh will present to you an action Mar
research with the title Meningkatkan Motivasi Murid Tingkatan 5E Menjawab Soalan Bahasa
Melayu Menggunakan Teknik Tapak Tangan.

16. Our last presenter for today’s colloquium, Ms Vipha Rianganand a/p Chamras will present to Mar
 you an action research entitled ‘Musical Grammar’.

to apply in your teaching process.
