E-Mail Correspondence The Graduate and International Admission Center will send important correspon-
dence, including decisions, by e-mail to the address you provide on the Apply-
Texas online application. You will not receive any paper correspondence from us.
To ensure the delivery of these e-mails, we strongly encourage you to add the
following senders to your “safe” or “approved” senders list before you submit your
ApplyTexas application:

Your UT EID and the The UT EID is a unique electronic identifier that allows you to access secure UT
Status Check Web Site web services. Your UT EID is different from your ApplyTexas user name.

Acknowledgment E-mail Within 1-2 business day(s) after you submit your application, you will receive an e-
mail message acknowledging that we have received your application.
Your UT EID and temporary password will be included in this correspondence.
Please do not create another EID for yourself. Only the EID that is sent to you in
the acknowledgment e-mail will be linked to your academic record.

Activating Your EID To activate your EID, use your temporary password and log in to the Status Check
web site. The URL is provided in the acknowledgment e-mail.
The first time you log in, you must choose a new password and set up questions
that allow you to reset your own password if you need to in the future.
ACTIVATE YOUR UT EID AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE THE
ACKNOWLEDGMENT E-MAIL.
