Make a super sandwich sheet

Key message: make simple flour-based dishes, safely and hygienically.

Equipment
You will need:
 Chopping board
 Table knife
 Peeler
 Grater
 Vegetable knife

An adult will need to help with some of the equipment as it is sharp.

Ingredient ideas
Bread Fillings Fruit and vegetables
Sliced Cheese Lettuce
Roll Ham Cucumber
Pitta Chicken Tomatoes
Wrap Tuna Sweetcorn
Thin Hummus Peppers
Baguette Soft cheese Grapes
Bagel Falafel Carrot

To make a super sandwich, follow these steps:


 Choose a type of bread
 Use a small amount of spread (you don’t need any spread if your filling is moist);
 Add a filling;
 Add two different fruit and/or vegetables to help towards your 5 A DAY;
 If you add a dressing, go for a low fat and or reduced sugar variety and only use a little (i.e. a
10p sized portion).
