Using a wholegrain or whole-meal product,


prepare a healthy One Dish Meal which will
be sold as a takeaway in the Pathlight Café.
Instructions:
• Based on the FCE Coursework Research, research on THREE recipes. Each recipe must be
healthy. It must use a wholegrain or whole-meal product and be a one-dish meal. It must be
suitable as a takeaway.

• Search for suitable recipes from your textbook (Pg 150 to 164).

Recommendation:

- Bread pizza

- Keema

- Burger

- Chicken Kebab

- Tomato and shrimp pasta


Dish 1: Eggs with Wholegrain Toast and salad

Ingredients (State the quantity) Method 

2 slices of Wholegrain bread Put the 2 slices of Wholegrain bread into the
2 Eggs toaster
Salad: Take it out when it is toasted and place it on a plate
5 pieces of baby tomatoes
A handful of Lettuce Add a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil in the frying
5 slices of Cucumbers pan and heat it
A teaspoon of Balsamic vinegar (for the salad Shell the eggs and put it in the pan to fry
dressing) When it is cooked, place it on the toast
A teaspoon of Parsley and chives (for the eggs) Add a teaspoon of Parsley and chives on the eggs
A teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil
Arrange the baby tomatoes, lettuce and
cucumbers at the side of the plate
Add A teaspoon of Balsamic vinegar over the salad

Serve when it is hot


Dish 2: Gluten free Sausage pizza

Ingredients (State the quantity) Method 

1 low fat, organic sausage Slice the capsicums and mushrooms


50g of Parmesan cheese
1 gluten free wholemeal pizza base Place the pizza base on a plate
3 tablespoons of tomato sauce Spread the tomato sauce evenly on the pizza base
A handful of capsicum (yellow, green, red) Add cheese, capsicum, mushroom over the base
5 pieces of mushroom
Preheat the oven at 250 deg C for 15mins
Bake the pizza in the oven for 5-10mins until
golden brown
Take it out and serve
Dish 3: Grilled Salmon with Brown Rice and Salad (same
as Dish 1’s salad ingredients and step)
