ABSTRACT
 In a tropical country like India, where the climate is predominantly hot and dry,
Hill Stations have served as great retreats for vacations.
 The hill stations are mainly service centers, providing comfortable stay and travel
for tourists. Being tourism destinations, the thrust is always given on increasing
the number of tourists. In recent past, tourist traffic at hill stations has increased
significantly and support infrastructure is being developed for the tourists.
 Hill Tourism is one of the major revenue earners for any region or country as
compared to other forms of Tourism.
 Tourists are attracted to mountain destinations for many reasons, including the
climate, clean air, unique landscapes and wildlife, scenic beauty, local culture,
history and heritage, and the opportunity to
 A Resort is an isolated place,self contained commercial establishment that tries
to provide most of a vacation’s wants, such as food, drink, lodging, sports,
entertainment and shopping on the premises. forest resort is an exquisite jungle
hideaway and a naturalist’s treasure. set along the slop of a forest clad hill,beside
tree branches of a sprightly mountain stream.
 Resort will treat with the fabulous views of the forest. an intimate experience of
the surrounding sights birds on overhanging branches, colourful butterflies, the
irresistible lure of the jungle will be a bliss and exaltation - body, mind and soul.
 The resort having restaurant,coffee shop, cottages, villas, tribal huts, ayurvedic
center, natural pool, rope bridge, tree house, pool villas and dormitory. With
vernacular traditional architecture of the region climatic conditions. with locally
available materials.

NEED FOR RESORT


 In addition to the homely comfort, people prefer to enjoy the weekends with
nature, for it provides physical and psychological bliss.
 Industrialization and urbanization had devastated the essence of abundant life.
this forest resort will offer an ideal ambience for the people to run away from the
urban chaos and has the potential to quench his thirst for mental peace,
relaxation and change of environment.
 Importance of resort is one of the few places that offer a break from the strain of
hectic life style. a completely different world engulf the visitor by taking a walk
along the lonely pathway beneath an enormous interlaced canopy formed by
majestic trees, cottages.

OBJECTIVE
 provide a recreational environment through varieties of facilities and functions.
 provide hospitality for both domestic and foreign visitors and promote tourism
ultimately promote local an well as national economy through the promotion of
both internal and external tourism.
 provide space for wedding functions, official meeting and seminars in natural
surroundings.
 Create an interactive space for indigenous people and visitors so that there may
be interchange of ideas and cultural demonstration.
 respond to climate and energy consumption issue raised by present day
architecture through eco - sensitive design.
 study about the materials and technology regarding the sustainability in design.
 study about low cost sustainable building materials.
 study about spacial organization and real need of resort programs.

 To study the construction technique that is used on a hilly terrain.
 To design a resort which submerged with the landscape around it with the locally
available material. Will Tourist a complete experience.
 To analyse the functional requirement of resort and to implement on design to
Carry out the function effectively.
