Types of Accreditation
There are three types of accreditation.
1. Competency Based. A training provider may be accredited to deliver training for qualifications
from the KKNI or clusters of SKKNI endorsed by MoMT
2. Curriculum Based. A training provider may be accredited to deliver programs that are not
related to the KKNI or SKKNI, but are based upon curriculum.
3. Provisional. The provider is unable to show all of the required written information, but in the
view of the Compliance Assessor is able to still demonstrate good education and training
practice. In the case of Provisional accreditation the provider will agree to an action plan to
achieve either Competency or Curriculum Based accreditation.
Provider is not compliant with accreditation standards and corrective action is required prior to accreditation or provisional accreditation
(see list of corrective actions)
