A. Rationale
The Philippines is experiencing a lot of power shortage due to the fact that there is an
unstable supply of non-renewable energy such as fossil fuels. Calamities are also a factor that
affects the sustainability of power supply. Another concern is that, most Filipino consumers and
businesses are complaining of high power rates these days. One of the reasons why we have high
power rates is that most of the fuel used for power generation are imported, meaning, these are
subject to global market forces and are impacted by foreign exchange movements. Furthermore,
power demand is less relative to those of comparable countries.

B. Statement of the Objectives

General Objective
This study aims to determine if the sunflower inspired solar tracking strategy is effective
for gathering maximum solar powered energy.
Specific objective
1. To increase the energy output, to captivate excessive energy that will provide maximum
solar powered energy that will lessen the expenditure on electricity then save coals and fossil fuels
that are gradually declining.
2. To determine the significant difference between the solar energy gathering strategy of
the sunflower inspired solar tracking panels and common stationary panels.
C. Statement of the Problem
General Problem
This study aims to test the potential of the solar tracking strategy in order to gather solar
power energy at maximum.
Specific Problem
1. Is Sunflower Inspired Solar Tracking Strategy efficient in captivating excessive energy
that will provide maximum solar powered energy that will lessen the expenditure on electricity
then save coals and fossil fuels that are gradually declining.
2. Is there a significant difference between the solar energy gathering strategy of the
sunflower inspired solar tracking panels and common stationary solar panels?
2.1 Amount of solar power energy gathered
D. Hypotheses
The researcher will be guided by the following hypotheses:
1. The test the solar tracking strategy has no potential in order to gather solar power energy
at maximum.
2. The sunflower inspired solar tracking strategy is not efficient in captivating excessive
energy that will provide maximum solar powered energy that will lessen the expenditure on
electricity then save coals and fossil fuels that are gradually declining.
3. There is no significant difference between the solar energy gathering strategy of the
sunflower inspired solar tracking panels and common stationary panels.
E. Research Methods
General Procedure
Materials and Equipment
The solar panels, light sensors, 9G Metal Gear Servo, Arduino UNO, M6 Screws and Nuts,
Solar Tracker Shield PCB Along with pin headers and resistors will be bought from a legit online
shop.
