Grades 7-12 Annual Used Book Sales

Saturday, July 7, 2018 AND Saturday, August 4, 2018


10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Upper Campus Library
Used Book Sales are hosted by the Sierra Canyon School Parent Association for rising 7th – 12th
grade students and parents as a courtesy to help recoup and/or defray book costs. There is no
guarantee that all the books you need will be available, but we encourage prospective sellers and
buyers to take advantage of this opportunity. Book lists with ISBN’s will be included in your
summer mailing.

Instructions for Sellers:


➢ All books MUST include a self-addressed stamped envelope taped to the inside cover of
your book when dropped off.
➢ Book Drop Bins will be located at the Upper Campus Elevator – Parking Level
o Friday, August 6th 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
o Friday, August 3rd 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
➢ We will not accept used paperbacks required for English classes – these must be
purchased new due to annotation requirements.
➢ We will not accept Spanish 1,2,3, or French 1,2,3 as new editions are being adopted.
➢ All books that do not sell will be donated if not picked up by noon August 4th.
➢ We have many, many books available for purchase for all grade levels!
➢ Please check the book list to ensure that the same book will be used next year before you
drop your book.

Instructions for Buyers:


➢ Remember to bring enough checks or cash for each individual book purchased. You may
need to write a different check for each of your different sellers.
➢ Come to the Upper Campus Library on the sale day and choose the books you want.
➢ Come prepared with a list of books you need to purchase. Ensure that you check the
provided booklist for the exact books your student needs. (Some books will need to be
purchased new.)
➢ Make sure that the ISBN on your list matches the book you are purchasing.
➢ Do not purchase paperbacks for English classes unless they are new – these must be
purchased new due to annotation requirements.
➢ Don’t see the book you need at the sale? Volunteers will be on hand to help you order
books online if you so desire! Credit card required!

We will need volunteers for the days of the sale and the two Fridays prior for set up. Students
interested in getting volunteer hours are also needed.
