MESSAGE TOPIC: WALKING WITH GOD

SERVICE OBJECTIVE:
1. Understanding what it means to walk with God
2. Understanding the benefits of walking with God
3. Understanding how to walk with God
Walking with God is an action, a lifestyle that produces drastic action for those who engage
in it
SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE WHO WALKED WITH GOD:
1. Enoch (Gen. 5:22-24)
2. Abraham (Gen. 17:1)
3. Elijah(1Kings 17:1)
WHAT IT MEANS TO WALK WITH GOD:
1. Keeping the company of God
It means preferring to be with God
than to associate with people
2. Going in the same direction with God
It means moving uniformly with God; that is, God is not going
one direction and you are moving the opposite way
3. Taking steps with God
It means your life is in step with God
4. Living your life by the principles and standards of God
It means liking what God likes and wanting what God wants
5. Pleasing God with your life (Amos 3:3)
It means being in agreement with God and not just doing with your life what pleases you
There is profit in pleasing God
Those who walk with God have minimal prayer requests; those who walk with God have
results that are effortless
Those who seek for God don’t seek for things, things seek for them (Matt. 6:33)
CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE WHO GO TO CHURCH:
1. Those who came to fully seek God
2. Those who came to partly seek God and partly seek things
3. Those who came to fully seek things
4. Those who came to serve the devil
BENEFITS OF WALKING WITH GOD:
1. Escape from generational disaster (Gen. 5:22-24; Heb. 11:5)
When you walk with God, what is catching others will not catch you; what limits others will
not limit you
You are not permitted to collide with evil when you walk with God
You will escape diseases, degeneration, witchcraft and occult attacks of your family when
you walk with God
2. Drastic supernatural shift (Heb. 11:5)
You change class in dimension and you drastically shift to a new phase of life when you walk
with God
3. Testimony-filled existence
Everything about you is testimonious when you walk with God
HOW TO WALK WITH GOD:
1. Make the decision
There can be no destination without decision, you can’t follow a direction if you don’t make a
decision
2. Release whatever holds you back (Gen. 5:22)
Whatever makes you delay in walking with God delays your shift in life
Anybody who is not encouraging the best out of you is a destroyer of your destiny
What is that ‘methuselah’ in your life that is stopping your depth in God? Do away with it
NOW!
If your frustration does not stop your dedication, then your dedication will swallow up your
frustration
You can weary out the devil by your service to God
Come to the point under God where you have walked with God and your walk with God has
taken care of your worries in life
3. Be ready to walk with God and walk alone especially where people are concerned
Those who are addicted to people (approval-addiction) can never go far with God; avoid
people who think you are fanatical in your walk with God
Move with people who will push up your fire with God
It is more profitable to walk with God than to be in pursuit of things.
PRAYER:
Father, I come to You, draw me closer to Yourself in 2020; Help to walk with You, work for
You and live for Your purpose.
I don’t want to be far from You this year, Lord in Jesus’ Name
Every satanic altar or missile fighting my life, catch fire now; every satanic arrow fighting my
destiny, return back to sender in Jesus’ Name
In the Name of Jesus, every altar of premature death eating up lives and destinies around
my life, around my family; o you altars, you are set on FIRE, catch FIRE NOW!
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
- Every demonic mask that has covered your life and prevented you from getting what is
yours is uncovered and set on fire today
- Every cycle of delay is over forever
- The Hand of God is coming upon you to assist you out of frustration. Receive direction
NOW!
- With direction comes deliverance and liberation, I declare your liberation and freedom from
the agenda of wickedness now in Jesus Name
- Receive revival of your prayer life, evangelism, passion for God intimacy with God and
Godly living in Jesus’ Name
- Every altar of attack from the pit of hell against your life and destiny, I set it on fire NOW!
- Every pit they have dug and kept your destiny, I declare this 2020, you are coming out of it
- Every ancestral, family, generational spirit that has followed you all these years, they are
leaving you now
- This year as you walk with God, the things others look for will look for you
PROPHETIC WORD:
The Lord said I should tell you - “If only you will trust Me to lead you and to guide you; you
will realize that the only plans I have for you are plans of good and not of evil, to give you an
end that is beyond your expectation. I won’t lead you astray, I won’t lead you into doom, I
won’t lead you into regrets. All I need is that you trust Me to lead you, trust your life into my
Hands, I won’t waste it, I won’t mismanage it”
