File life cycle management: Configuration Document
1. FLM Activation
Inorder to activate the FLM in SAP system , the below component need to be installed in ECC system. All
other relevant administrative requirements will be detailed in the installation document.
2. DMS setup
FLM is integrated with DMS module for storage of documents in content server. The content server is created
and activated and linked to FLM.
2.1 Define content repositories:

Below content repository is defined in APTRANSCO.

2.2 Activating the content repositories:

3. Workflow setup
Workflow need to be activated for sending the files through FLM.
3.1 Activating the workflow:
setup work flow – Activate Work flow
The below taskids are to be activated for FLM:
Activation of work flow event for case management - Task ID 78900007
Assignment of workflow tasks in process route – Task ID : 78907914
Assignment of workflow tasks in process route – Task ID : 78907915
3.2 Maintain the activities in workflow:
setup work flow – Define activities for file workflow
Relevant activities for the Workflow Task: 78907914 & Work flow task 78907915 are to be maintained.
3.3 Maintain number range intervals for process route:
setup work flow – Define activities for file workflow

4. Records management
4.1 Application registry maintenance:
FLM is configured based on records management system in the backend and registry entries are to be
maintained and available in RMS module.

4.2 RMS Model ID creation:

5. Case management
File life cycle management uses case management for all the files generation in FLM module:

6. File Configuration
6.1 File Hirarchy Creation:

Based on the file number range configuration, relevant number range object will be selected.
6.6 Create Intervals for Year Independent file numbers:

7. DAAK configuration
7.1 Create Intervals for Year Independent file numbers:

Daak Type GEND has been created for RMS ID - APTRANSCO_RMS
7.2 Define Technical number range for incoming posts:
SAP Fiorri specific settings – Define Numbering configurations – Define technical number range for
incoming posts
SAP Fiorri specific settings – Define Numbering configurations – Define value key for attributes
The above attributes and the relevant values are maintained.
Attribute values:

SAP Fiorri specific settings – Define Numbering configurations – Define intervals for year Independent IPI
