DINNER OUT
The Clintons, an American couple, are in England on business. They are staying
at a nice hotel in the centre of London.
Tomorrow Dr. Clinton is going to attend a three-day conference in the city. At the
moment they are sitting in a café, having a drink, after along walk in the parks of
London.

Dr. Clinton – Tonight we are going out for dinner, aren’t we?
Mrs. Clinton – But you are so tired! And tomorrow you can’t get up late.
Dr. Clinton – That’s right, but the conference only begins at eleven. So we have
plenty of time. After dinner we can even go to see a musical.
Mrs. Clinton – That’s a good idea! But I’d like to go to a quiet restaurant and eat
typical British food.
Dr. Clinton – No problem. When we travel we always eat local food, don’t we?
And we are always travelling!
Mrs. Clinton – Yes, dear. You are right. But, do you know any restaurant in
London?
Dr. Clinton – No, but I can ask the receptionist. He’s very nice and helpful.
Mrs. Clinton – OK! We’d better go, then.
