We request that you submit the following documents to complete your application:

- CV or resume
- Statement of motivation, indicating why you are applying for this particular project (if
you apply for the maximum of two projects, please include separate statements of
motivation)
- Letter of recommendation by a university teacher
- Academic transcript (although this should be an official university transcript, you may
submit it via email as a scanned document), confirming your current enrolment as a
bachelor student including the expected year of graduation.

III. Housing
OPTION 1: I would like RWTH Aachen University’s International Office to reserve a dorm
room for me. I understand that I am responsible for paying the rent upon my
arrival in Aachen.
Please note: Rooms are allocated by the Studentenwerk Aachen (www.studentenwerk-aachen.de). All rooms are single
rooms, either with a private shower and kitchen (apartment) or with a shared bathroom and kitchen. We will try to place you in a
dorm close to your institute, but cannot guarantee this. Rent ranges from € 160 – 220 per month – we will try to find the
cheapest room possible. We will let you know more about your assigned room and address as soon as this information
becomes available. When paying your rent, you will be asked to pay an additional two-months rent as a deposit. This amount
will be returned to you when you move out.

OPTION 2: I will make my own housing arrangements.

IV. German Language Ability

I have no previous knowledge of German.
