by entertainment and news.

by Electricity Transmission lines
On progress: Development of 36,000 km (+ 20,000 km backhaul)
Fiber Optic network to connect all cities/regencies in Indonesia
in 2019 (the Palapa western ring will be completed in Feb 2018)

 In national level, there are 3 Ministries who overlap regulating & managing e-
government & Smart City & there is no CIO body:
• Ministry of Ministry of Home Affairs (Kementrian Dalam Negeri)
• Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kementerian Komunikasi dan
Informatika)
• State Minister for the Empowerment of State Apparatus (Kementerian
Negara Pemberdayaan Aparatur Negara)

 In local level, Department of Communication & Informatics is just as a


Coordinator, there is no CIO & governance body

 In local level, based on the regulation of Ministry of Communication &


Informatics 2016 No. 14, the Governance function is in charge to Kepala Seksi
(Eselon IV) who is low level and does not have authority to other departments in
a city/regency level.
