APPLICATION LETTER

Application Letter / Letter of Application is a letter that is made and sent by someone who wants to
work in an office, company or certain institution. Job application letter including official or official
letter. Therefore, there are certain rules that must be considered in their writing.

In general the letter has sections as follows:

The place and date of the letter

- Reference number

- Attachment

- Thing or subject

- Destination address

- Greetings

- The contents of the letter are subdivided into three main parts, namely:

- Opening paragraph

- Content of letter

- Closing paragraph

- Signatures and bright names

The following is the format in writing the Job Application Letter / Application Letter:

Making Application Letter

1. Date Line / Place and Date of Letter Creation

Example:

Bandar Lampung, April 26, 2016

Jakarta, February 4th 2016

Make sure when you write the Date Line, do not exceed the deadline for sending letters.

The following is a logical illustration for understanding Date Date:

A company is posting a Job Vacancy advertisement on February 20 and in the adverts it reads "The
deadline for submitting an Application Letter is March 2" This means you may not send your
Application Letter after March 2, because this will in vain. It is like salt sea, which means it is a
waste of work because we all know that sea water is salty so why should salt be sprinkled ??
2. Inside Address / Destination Address.

Example:

General Television and Radio. Inc.

Jln. Jendral Sudirman No 342

JAKARTA 14700

Make sure when you write Inside Address completely and accurately. This helps to make your
application letter to the destination and not the wrong address. Things to note are:

Company name (General Television and Radio. Inc.)

Company Address (Jln. Jendral Sudirman No 342, JAKARTA 14700) Include the name of the City and
the Post code, it will be better.

3. Salutation / Greeting / Greetings Opener

Example:

Dear Sir,

Dear Mr. Rudolph,

From the example above I use "Dear Sir," meaning if you don't or don't know the name of the leader
/ section head in a company that you want to apply for. So the use of the example above you can
apply when you make your application letter. But if you already know the name of the leader in the
company, then you can use example no-2 "Dear Mr. Rudolph, "
