Remarks:
It is the story about the journey of Charice Pempengco to become Jake Zyrus. She
narrates the pain of her turbulent childhood like: she was experienced pain from her mother
when she lossed at any singing contest she joined, she always kept her real identity for such
long years, she fell that she is living for the sake of others. The dizzying heights she achieved in
Hollywood like, being great international singer and world’s next pop star. But she turned her
back on the offer of fame and wealth to become true to herself. The fall from grace that result
to suicide attempts that happened thrice and his rebirth as Jake Zyrus. He delves into every
aspect of his life and inspires with his indomitable spirit in this tell-all story of becoming. As a
reader, I learned to be true with myself. Don’t be afraid to express yourself and always keep
fighting to the challenges and hindrances in life.
