Math-Science Festival- LANANPIN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

“I am always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught”-anonymous.

Some of the learners nowadays think that Math and Science are subjects that are sustainable and
resourceful when it comes to holistic learning, it will allow you to use knowledge, apply what you’ve
learned through Skills and manifest to what you have learned as its gave shape to the Attitude.

But not all students are willing to absorb knowledge in these two subjects because they considered
these as “DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND” despite of knowing their importance to everyday life. That is why
teachers are applying unlimited strategies to introduce these two subjects to every students without
putting in mind that it “would be hard”, but “it would be super fun!”.

To cope up with that goal, Lananpin National High School conducted Math-Science Festival on
November 12, 2019 headed by the Mr. Reynaldo Milar and Mr. John Sarmiento the two promising Math
Teachers of Lananpin National High School. They’ve conducted Math and Science competitions to the
students. They’ve also conducted money contest pageant by selling tickets to all the students of the
LNHS and the money collected will be used by the winners of Math-sci games/sport players in their
division competition after winning the inside-school competitions .

The programme was hosted by the two talented Teachers and hosts Ms. Alaissa Penaflor Jacinto and
Mr. Ryan Catabay. They invited the honourable Barangay Pinmaludpod Secretary and sport coach ,
Mr. Armado Tubera to give his message as he talks about the improvements of Urdaneta City specially
the clean water in the city as a big help to every school needs as one of the most important basic need
of human in promoting health, cleanliness and hygiene.

The programme also conducted raffle draws and gave school supplies as a prize to all students who buys
tickets for the money contest, Its run smoothly as students are so happy for what they have receive .

After that, the programme hosts presented the Beauties and Masters of the Money Contest as follows
Mr. & Miss Logaritm- B-jay Benjamin Locquiao and Maria Abegail Gambol, Mr. & Miss Statistics- Aries
Gerimiano and Camila Rafanan, Mr. & Miss Innovation- Roland Suan and Narianne Espeleta, Mr. & Miss
Technology- Jerwin Anselmo and Athea Knightly Ignacio, Mr. & Miss Mathematics-Aries Estrada and
Angeline Arquilita, Mr& Miss Kalikasan- Aljhaymay Tubera and Dona Rose Nino.

The beauty of every pair shines in their fullest as they received their awards after the walks, and also
followed by awarding of the winners of different Math-Sci competitions.

Witnessing such as successful programme is an honour for us as a Student-Teacher of Lananpin National

High School.
