Dear Achieve Families,
I truly appreciate each of you following our routines and expectations in the parking lot
daily. If you have any questions about our procedures, please stop to ask. Every process we have
in place is to keep our students safe as we navigate the drop off and pick up of almost 800 stu-
dents daily!
A few reminders for us to consider as we continue to work together to keep our parking
lot safe:
• Stay off your cell phone as you drive in and out of our lot.
• Wait patiently behind the car in front of you during arrival and dismissal.
• For those turning left off Denton Rd., please pull into the parking lot in the left lane at the
same time as the cars pulling into the right lane. Do not change lanes until you are safely in
the lot. This helps alleviate traffic turning in off Denton Rd.
• Students being dropped off in the parking lot, must be accompanied with an adult to cross
the crosswalks.
• There is no smoking on school premises. Please refrain from smoking once you enter our
parking lot.

FREE Pizza, Drinks and Fun!
Fathers and Father-figures,
On September 24th from 6:30-7:30pm we will be having
our FIRST annual ‘Dads and Kids’ Pizza Night at our
school. You will meet here at the school gym at 6:30 pm
for FREE pizza and drinks. At 6:30 we will have a presen-
tation about our WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Dads Of Great Stu-
dents) Program. WATCH D.O.G.S.® is an innovative
program being used by schools across America which
helps them to be positively impacted by the committed
involvement of fathers and father-figures in their stu-
dent’s life. Our goal is to have you spend at least one day
this year at the school to be a positive male role model
and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears.
Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads and adult brothers . .
. this is your chance to have a night out alone with your
student in a fun atmosphere at school.

Perfect Attendance for September
Don’t forget, if your child has perfect attendance for September,
they will be permitted to dress casually for free on Tuesday, Octo-
ber 1st. Your child’s teacher will communicate this with them on
September 27th and will send home a reminder. Thank you for
working together with us to ensure your child is in school daily and
on time!! Remember this includes tardies as well as absences.
Science Olympiad 5th - 8th Grades
Science Olympiad forms with payment due September
25th. Cash or Checks, made out to Achieve Charter Academy
PTO.
Robofest Teams
Robotics Club Teams forms with due September 25th. No
fees to participate. Information and sign up sheets on
rounder by front door of school. Lottery for borrowing a
school robot will be Friday, September 27th.
Picture Day Information
Our picture day is Thursday, September 26th. All students get
their picture taken regardless if you are purchasing a pack-
age. We have all students photographed for their student ID
card and yearbook.
Students may wear their dress code clothes or better. It will have
your student name and homeroom teacher name on the envelope.
There will be a make up day for those who are not in school on
Thursday. Make up day will be Wednesday, November 13th.

PTO Meeting
Our next PTO meeting will be held on Monday, October 7th
at 5 PM. Mark your calendars and come on out to support
our ACA community. All families are members of our PTO.

Family Math Night
Math night will be held on Wednesday Oct. 9th from 6:00pm to 7:00
pm. We will be playing a variety of math games that help strengthen
math skills. There will be games for all levels so everyone is welcome to
join. The middle school will also be demonstrating a lesson plan for par-
ents on the new Illustrative Math curriculum. Parents will experience what
it looks like to be in the middle school math classroom. This is a fun night
for the family. We will also have a raffle for those who join us to get
free fun prizes. Come join us for mathematical fun!!!!!
Boys Varsity Basketball Coach is needed for the upcom-
ing season this winter. The season runs from late October
through early January. If interested please contact Mr.

Science Olympiad Coaches Needed
Parents/high school students/relatives needed to coach
events. No experience or background necessary, may coach one
or more events. Please review the list in the parent room or by
the 7/8th grade Science room and consider coaching an
event. Events without a coach, will not have a study ses-
