Area of research: Penmanship skills

Target Group: 5 pupils among Year 4 pupils are still having problems in producing legible
handwriting.

Proposed Design: Action Research

a) Improvement: Using WL Board to Enhance the Year 3 Pupils

Penmanship Skills in Writing Words and Sentences

Action:

a. I have designed my improvements and carried out a ‘test run’ during my practicum
b. I have identified my target group.
c. During my internship, I will apply my AR proposed design.

Area of Research: Reading difficulties

Target Group: 6 pupils among Year 4 pupils are having problems in extracting main ideas from
a passage/stories

Proposed Design: Action Research

a) Improvement: Using Visual i-Think map to enhance Year 4 pupils

reading comprehension

Action:

a) I observed the pupils’ problems and simply designed my improvements in order to see
if its works in helping my pupils extracting main ideas from a passage or stories
b) I carried a ‘test run’ involving all the pupils in the class
c) I have identified my target group.
d) During my internship, I will apply my AR proposed design.

*Both of this are my suggestion for my AR. I identified both problems and decided to apply
both improvements in my last practicum. *
