0 MODEL GENERATION

Description
This chapter pertains to describing the geometry of the structure and along with the
development of the analytical models used for the analysis of the bridge including defining
boundary conditions, properties and derivation of load cases.

The following model types have been developed;

• Line beam
• 3D space frame models

Line Beam Model (ASBD)

Modeling Methodology
The Line model of the Super-T Girders was created in order to calculate the
deflection of the Pre-Stress Girders and flexural stress of girders at different
stages. The girder is idealized as simply supported and loads applied are
the resulting moment and shear loads from each different loadings with
corresponding load factors applied.
