MANUFACTURING PLANT
Amway has a strong belief in India and the future of the nation. That is why we have
invested Rs 600 crore ($100 million USD) in a new manufacturing facility in Tamil
Nadu – to make high quality, world-class products right here in India, for India. India
is 4th country in the world where Amway has invested in a manufacturing facility.
The plant has one of the biggest roof-top solar plants in Tamil Nadu and the
company is targeted to conserve 30-50,000 cubic meters of rain water every year.
This plant would be amongst the few LEED GOLD Standard manufacturing plants in
the country, and will be a Zero Discharge Waste Facility. All in all, the world class
green manufacturing facility is designed to achieve energy optimization and
operational efficiency.
The new facility consists of 9 production lines for Nutrition, Cosmetics and Oral Care
products including 4 lines for nutrition supplements, 2 lines for Protein supplements,
2 lines for Cosmetics and 1 line for the Glister toothpaste. The plant contains annual
capacity to manufacture 1.2 Billion tablets and soft gels, 7 Million canisters of drink
mixes, 19 million cosmetic jars, bottles and tubes and 60 million tooth pastes.
