Mentor Bio

Megan graduated from high school in San Antonio and went to Texas A&M for college.

She was always interested in science and knew she wanted to do something in healthcare so she

decided to get a Biology degree. She found out about the Physician Assistant profession her

sophomore year of college and knew it was the right fit for her. She graduated from Texas A&M

with a Biology degree and English minor degree. Megan knew she needed patient care

experience before PA school so she started to work as a physical therapy tech where she was

involved in direct patient care and working alongside a physical therapist. During the year she

worked as a PT tech and started applying for PA schools. She ended up getting into Baylor

College of Medicine in Houston, TX for PA school and graduated in December 2018. Megan

was hired a few months later to be a Family Medicine PA at Baylor Scott and White Primary

Care- The Star. The practice has numerous physicians and APPs (Nurse Practitioners and

Physician Assistants) and all of the APPs are paired with a supervising physician to work with.

She sees anywhere from 14-19 patients per day and sees them independently but collaborates

with her supervising physician when needed. She sees a variety of complaints in Family

Medicine and treats both children and adults. Overall, Megan really enjoys her profession and

helping her patients.
