INTRODUCTION TO WORLD RELIGIONS AND BELIEF SYSTEMS

GENERAL DIRECTIONS.

Prepare the following performance/product tasks. Upload your files in the official Google Drive.

1. Create a digital poster illustrating a person who is spiritual but not religious, and religious but
not spiritual.

2. Choose one major world religion and identify its influences on a particular culture of a
country. Show your answer through a photo essay.

3. Gather at least three (3) print or web-based articles, photos, editorial, etc. showing the
positive or negative effects of religion. Write a three (3) paragraph essay to explain why religion
can be both positive and negative.

4. On an excel spreadsheet, compare and contrast the major world religions according to: (1)
origin and nature of divinity, (2) origin of the universe, (3) nature and purpose of humanity, (4)
teachings on morality, (5) views on women, (6) culture and traditions, (7) the ultimate meaning
of life, (8) eschatology, and (9) major issues in the modern times.
