ACTIONS NEEDED:

 Proper training to be imparted to all the employees or the operators, so that right and
clear information is passed along with a good deliverables.
o For this, good training modules are to be designed.
o Training of the employees or the operators should be done frequently.
 The working of the machine should be checked more frequently. Also, the workers
working on the machines should have some knowledge about its working, so that he
could identify the problem at a very initial stage. For imparting this knowledge to them,
good training programmes should be conducted.
 Clear information about the product specifications should be given. For this, a proper
and fixed format should be made and used, and also, the person working in that
particular department should be trained accordingly.
 The procedures are not clear to the operators working on them, which sometimes,
makes the procedures go wrong, with the realisation of the operator. For this, clear
information of the requirement from each operator should be explained to individuals,
so that they are clear about the deliverables, and also the final outcome is good, thus,
decreasing the number of rejections.
 The material should be handled properly along with increased pace of passing the
material from one operator to the next one after completion of the individuals’ work.
o For this, the method used for handling the material should be improved.
o There should be more rounds of transferring the materials from one workstation
to another and also, the speed of moving the materials should be faster.
o The Overhead Unit Production System can be used in the Assembly Section,
where all the components to be attached to the final garment can be placed in
one hanger and then, passed from one workstation to another by using the
Overhead system. Here, the operator assigned with his work and complete that
and then transfer the complete hanger to the further workstations. This would
reduce the work of transferring the material from one workstation to another.
This system would also eliminate the time wasted in waiting for the components
from different workstations.
