“Estranged Labor”

By Karl Marx

Capitalism, in our political economy, is an unfair system between the capitalists and the
workers. To begin with, capitalism teaches the people in the economic world to gain monopoly
power by exposing workers into hard labor and exploit consumers. By exposing the workers into
labor, there happens to be an alienation of workers from the products of their labor. The more
products they produce, the less the worker takes home for himself. Basically, the capitalists are
putting their workers at risk of hard labor but at the same time these laborers are being
disenfranchised.
