“Experienced the Lux and Food Trip for Less”

“The time we had was all-

there was not a moment more.”
-Lang Leav

After numerous setbacks and success over the course of the first semester,
we, the Grade 12 ABM students, were given the opportunity to set foot on one
of the most prestigious and high-end hotels in the Philippines as well as to dine in
to their complementary budget-friendly café. The exposure trip was made
possible by our dearly beloved ABM coordinator, Mrs. Grace Contreras and
marketing professor, Mrs. Pauline Bondad. A lot of preparations headed by the
BARCODES officers were made in order to execute the said trip as best as it can
be.

At first, I was anxious of what may come upon us along the trip but it soon
turned into excitement and bliss when we get to indulge ourselves with the
amenities and furniture they offer. The idea that I was inside a five-star hotel left
me in daze all through out the tour. The lobby was laced with every ounce of
extravagance and luxury to the point that there were even modern electronic
chauffeur bots that’ll help you settle down in your hotel room. Getting deeper
into the hotel, the walls for their hallways were intricated with pricey marbles as
the floor was coated by a furry carpet and white lights on each side making
one feel rich for a moment. In able to gain access inside the hotel room, the
guest must place their eyelid in front of the eye recognition device. Once it
recognizes, the door will automatically open and show the breath-taking view it
hides within. Instantly, a jacuzzi will greet before you which will make you want
to take a dip immediately. There was a huge television with numerous tablets
and devices connected to the lobby, lights, doors, and such. The dining area
was set with different expensive table wares and utensils. It was near the sauna
which can be ignited through lava rocks or infrared heat. Upstairs didn’t
disappoint too with its queen-sized beds, walk in closets, and comfort rooms. The
room was cut out dream of millennials who delve into technology and
convenience. Truly, I never imagined that I will be able to experience all that
happened that day because I only gave a 300-peso bill in exchange of a high-
class experience. Nonetheless. It was a remarkable opportunity that I will cherish
and keep.
Honestly, Luks Lofts Hotel & Residences makes you want to think that it is
perfect but in life, there is no such thing as perfect. The stairs and hallways were
narrow which can make some people claustrophobic given the fact that there
were no windows at all. The devices may experience glitches which may disrupt
the flow of service. The beds cannot accommodate tall people since it was
made for average sized Filipinos. There are tons of separate payments in
availing basic services which is impractical if you ask me. I was also thinking
about the breakfast service since they changed kitchen areas. These are just
some that I was able to nitpick and distinguish during the trip.

On the other note, Share Café was a high-technology based café that
serves budget-friendly meals. It was alright for me although the technology did
amaze me. I was just disappointed with the food that I ate because it wasn’t
what I expected it to be. Everything was difficult to eat since it was slightly
overcooked. The café was good enough for me. There are food inconsistencies
hence the reason why I am not that satisfied with it.

Furthermore, I could see how both focus on online advertising, signages,

tarpaulins, sales promotional tools, jingles and tv exposure. I am fascinated and
amazed with the marketing strategies they utilized. The experience is something I
will keep in my mind and remain in my heart as I got the luck on lux.
