1) WHAT IS A URBAN DEVELOPMENT.?

Urban development is a expansion into unpopulated areas and/or the renovation of decaying
regions.

2) USE OF A URBAN DEVELOPMENT.?

Globally, 55% of the population lives in urban areas today. By 2045, the number of people
living in cities will increase by 1.5 times to 6 billion, adding 2 billion more urban residents. With
more than 80% of global GDP generated in cities, urbanization can contribute to sustainable
growth if managed well by increasing productivity, allowing innovation and new ideas to
emerge.

3) AIM:
• To create a best urban developed center(city center).
• The design is to create a bridge in saalai road & shopping with commercial complex
• The above mentioned proposals fall under Thillai nagar which I took as a urban
development project.
• To create a space for BRTS(24km run/2kms in site)
4) OBJECTIVE:
• To check the perfect zoning in urban level.
• To create freed circulation pattern,
• To create a sustainable city through transport.
• To create a physically challenged city.
• To help last minute connectivity.
• To create a space for Smart Bus Feeder

5) SCOPE:
• It will lead to a healthy corporation maintained city (thillai nagar),
• Trichy is a place where there is a lack in usage of void spaces it will next utilized
• landmark area like bus stand, this Thillai Nagar will be created
• Since it is the heart of the city ,any changes made here will reflect in the other
settlements near Trichy
• Learning the spatial arrangement for multiple places
6) THRUST AREA:
• This design leads in a concept of sustainable city based on transportation,
• It relates all roads and create a spot of gathering which is used for current trend.

7) REASON FOR TRICHY:

• Smart city proposal is wide different from other proposal like Salem, Dindigul.
• Here we have whole city development under smart city proposal.

What:
Urban development in Thillai nagar in mode of transport and with some commercial
space.

Why:
The most needful transport in this district is considered as bus transportation and there is
a lack in usage of FSI.

Where:
This typology will be developed in Thillai nagar which gets called as Trichy’s heart .

How:
This will include BRTS ,e-bus stops ,increase as vegetative land, commercial usage.

Who:
Here the people who lives in this residential and complete Trichy people will be
benefited more. Mainly aged people and dis-abled peoples will welcome this project.

When:
This smart city proposal will be completed within 2025 with all amenities and it will
develop the tourist attraction more and more in upcoming years.
