REGULATIONS FOR UNIVERSITY TUITION AND FEES
2019/2020 ACADEMIC YEAR
FOR STUDENTS ENROLLED IN UNDERGRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES

Every year, the Board of Directors consults with the competent university offices and subsequently resolves
on the number of students who may enrol in each degree programme. Additionally, the Board annually
determines the amount and schedule of payment for tuition and fees (Art. 5, point 6, of the University
Regulations).
The Board has established 5 tuition rates (section 1) for students enrolled in undergraduate and
postgraduate programmes for the 2019/2020 academic year.
The 9 tuition rates established for previous academic years (section 2) still apply to students who renew
enrolment for the 2019/2020 academic year, provided that the year of enrolment duly follows on from the
previous year.
Therefore, the special tuition rate known as “Rate 0” (fascia zero) is only available for students (regardless
of citizenship) who: (a) renew their enrolment as full-time students in an undergraduate or postgraduate
programme for the 2019/2020 academic year: (b) enrol in the year that duly follows on from the previous
year; (c) already qualified for the “Rate 0” in the 2018/2019 academic year; and (d) have a university ISEE
value under € 5,000 (ISEE is a measure of a family’s financial status).
A flat tuition rate applies to EU and non-EU international students as well as to students with Italian
citizenship or dual citizenship if their family resides abroad with foreign-sourced income and assets and
they enrol or renew their enrolment in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme for the 2019/2020
academic year as a full- or part-time student.

1.8 – AID FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OR ITALIAN STUDENTS RESIDING ABROAD (AS DESCRIBED IN SECTIONS 1.6 AND 1.7)

If a student meets the criteria under section 1.7 and is enrolled as a full-time student in an undergraduate
or postgraduate programme, he/she is eligible for one of 5 merit scholarships of € 3,000 each. Scholarship
candidates are ranked based on the results of completed courses, provided that the courses are specifically
listed as part of the Faculty’s curriculum and duly registered in the student’s transcript by the second exam
session for the 2019/2020 academic year. The completed courses must be equal to at least 40 credits
(CFU/ECTS). Any credits from exams or activities that took place prior to enrolment are not considered valid
towards the CFU/ECTS count, even if they have been recognized and inserted in the student’s transcript. If
candidates have the same number of credits, selection is based on their weighted grade point average for
successfully completed courses. The scholarship is awarded as a lump sum in September of 2020 following
the publication of the ranked list of candidates.

To meet any accommodation requests on the part of students, 10 beds are reserved in IULM University’s
residence halls at a special price of € 280/month. Of these 10 beds, 5 are reserved for students enrolled in
the first year of an undergraduate programme during the 2019/2020 academic year, and 5 are reserved for
students enrolled in the first year of a postgraduate programme during the 2019/2020 academic year (full-
time courses only).
Please send requests to dirittoallostudio@iulm.it by 31 July 2019. Beds will be assigned on a first come, first
served basis until all 10 beds have been assigned. Applicants cannot be assigned a bed unless their
enrolment is confirmed.

Furthermore, IULM University provides a 50% reduction in tuition and fees for the first year of coursework
during the 2019/2020 academic year:

Tuition and fees for the second year of the programme in the 2019/2020 academic year depend on the
chosen university. For IULM University, see Table N; for the partner universities, see below:
- Université Grenoble Alpes: € 3,520. The enrolment fee paid to the Université Grenoble Alpes is

that students still satisfy the merit requirements stipulated in the UCF partnership agreement.
The payment deadlines for tuition and fees and the pay-out dates of the scholarship depend on
the terms and conditions of the partnership agreement in force. The students concerned will
receive this information in due course.
